Boys names - one sylable

I have 2 boys on the way and I am beginning to panic as time is running out and NO NAMES as yet!
We have a DD who has a one sylable name, beginning with F - and it is slightly french sounding. Surname has lots of 'S's!
I quite like the idea of single sylable boys names. One name both DH and I agree is a possibility is Ralph.

Middle names are likely to be Michael, Edward or Kenneth - I am happy that I can get a middle name to fit, its the first names we are really stuggle with.

I could think of loads of girls names but struggle with boys! Anyone got any suggestions / names I could steal? :-)

Kit is my absolute favourite boys name. I like Jem too.

Thanks everyone! I think the shortlist is down to Ralph, Edward (nn Ted), Michael (probably known as Mikey). DH is really not sure about Edward and Kenneth is definitely relegated to middle name :-(

So one sylable is not really working!!

Your suggestions have really helped.

I think you get the right to name them whatever you want. You have put up with the inconvenience of gestating, not one, but two little people.

I like Heath and Charles and I love Seth but does not go with our surname. I like Abe as well.... thanks for the suggestions, really helping - keep them coming!

birdofthenorth - I'm guessing Fleur...

Was about to give a few suggestions, but think most of mine have already been mentioned - Max, Sam, Luke, Paul, Saul, Jake...

Stellan · 01/03/2012 12:32

You might like Blake, Brett, Bryce, Carl, Charles, Clark, Craig, Curt, Dale, Dean, Finn, Fletch, Flynn, George, Giles, Glen, Grant, Greg, Guy, Hank, Heath, Hugh, James, John, Joel, Mark, Miles, Neil, Noel, Paul, Reed, Rhett, Rhys, Ross, Scott or Seth. I particularly like Flynn.

birdofthenorth · 01/03/2012 11:54

Jude, Mark (or Marc), Abe, Charles, Ike, Earl, Tim, Drew, Lee, Nye...?

Dying to know you DD's name, can't think of anything one syllable French vibe starting with F!
