English sounding Muslim Girls Names???? Plz help :-)

Please share some english sounding muslim names. We would like something that is easily pronounced but is still muslim or arabic origin. Many thanks.

Has anyone suggested Esme or Esther? Both are Persian in origin with one meaning 'beloved' and the other, 'star'.

Otherwise, Lila, Leila, Zara/Sara, Sahara, Miriam/Maryam, Safiya and Sofie are all names of children that I've taught who've come from Muslim families.

OP - Whichever name you choose, I suggest you take a moment to consider how to write it. For example, Dina and Miriam will probably look less foreign than Deena or Maryam.

Since you said you like names starting with A, how about:
Aleina/Aleena
Aya
Ayda

A few comments on names mentioned here:
Lara, Selen, and Deniz are Turkish names, not Muslim names
Ines is a French name

How about Soraya? I suppose it isn't the easiest to say but not hard either and I think it's lovely.

Kamilah (Camilla) is a lovely name which is pronounced almost identically in both Arabic and English.

Also love Amira, Nahla (means bumblebee :) ), Zahra. English speakers would just drop the 'h' and say naa-la, zaa-ra etc. I love Qamar which means moon but not very English sounding!
