Twins - Henry & Harriet?

Hello, I've been lurking and reading all of your brilliant posts for inspiration, thank you! Can I ask for some specific name help please?

I'm 33 weeks pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. Very excited, but getting really anxious about names..

The only two names we both love are Henry and Harriet, but really think these are too similar to be used together. Particularly as I really like the nickname Harri for Harriet.

So.. Do you agree they sound too similar to be used together? Any other new suggestions for us?

My number one choice for boys name would be Milo but DH absolutely, completely and utterly hates it. (Can you tell, he's made his feelings very clear?!)

Other names we like (although none as much as the above..):

Amelia (not that concerned that this is so popular, like Millie as a nick name, but sadly, makes me think of Millie Dowler)
Flora (not too worried about the margarine connection, but don't love it as much as Harriet)
Poppy (like it lots, but a bit worried it's a bit 'flighty')
Lola (I originally loved this and DH hated it, now he's softened to it and I'm not so sure.)

William (feels a bit too sensible)
Archie (this is DH's absolutely favourite. I can't get over not having a full name on his birth certificate and can't quite bring myself to inflict Archibald on him.)
Monty (I love the feel of a WW2 fighter pilot. However, again, can't get over not having a full name on his birth certificate and can't quite bring myself to inflict Montgomery etc on him.)

So, any new suggestions gratefully received! Thank you.

This is probably very unlikely, but I would worry about Flora in case your DS becomes Fauna as a nickname at school.

(Do remember I'm biased because it isn't my favorite name).

I think Henry and Harriet are lovely! I would pick them. I understand your reasoning on all other names you mentioned.

Henry and Flora is lovely.

Or how about Harriet and Montagu (Monty)?

I must admit, I think that they are quite similar. You will have Henry and Harry, and people might just assume they are two boys. Also, if you are anything like me, you'll end up calling them the wrong thing (I do that occasionally with mine with TOTALLY different names. However, none of those are really major problems, so if you love the names, then go for it. Some people love very similar names.

They are both lovely names. I love Harriet and know a very lovely 6 month old Henry who is gorgeous.

For your other names, I LOVE Montgomery (Monty for short). Archie is so incredibly popular, and Archibald I don't like. But Montgomery - I'd say go for it!!

For your girls names, Harriet is my favorite. Ameila I like but it feels very popular (I think because I also associate it with Amelie and so I know some of both). Flora and Poppy both feel a little bit flowery for me. And Lola I like, but not anywhere near as much as Harriet.

My cousin has a boy and a girl called Henry and Harriet (not twins but they are very close in age) so it seems normal to me!
