I did a list like this for December and got some interesting responses Grin

For discretion I'm not posting the babies' middle names, although it does include those where I'm getting my info from. I live in a mid-size town in the midwestern US. As an interesting point of note - there were 70 girls born and 58 boys.

Overall, a more tame list than December's offerings, although Carver, Deegan, Kyson, Ryker, Thane, Elijah for a girl, Karizma, and Samyah are ... interesting Grin

I remember your last thread on this, and I remember Brantley being popular on that one as well. Can't say I like it.

And poor Carver!

Fishpond · 11/02/2012 17:14

I also noticed the lack of repeats. I think here it is a more common wish to want a "unique" name than a classic one. In fact going back a few months there was a girl named Unique here at the hospital.

yay, a Dixie made it!!

Kyleigh - Grin wtf!

tummytickler · 11/02/2012 15:21

Elijah for a girl Shock Horrible! My 9 year old ds is called Elijah, so this particularly offends me Grin

Love Abraham, Silas, Owen, Victor and William.
Love Carmel, Hattie, Hazel - actually thats it!

Nice to see Caroline being used, although I don't love it, it is better than a lot of the names on that list, and unusual now.

pilates · 11/02/2012 15:16

Interesting only like about six names on that list.

manicinsomniac · 11/02/2012 10:04

Karizma Grin. I hope the poor child's not mousy and dull!

Fascinating thread. I don't think they do this in the UK.

Northernlurker · 11/02/2012 08:16

Interesting how few names are repeated. I think if you did that in the UK you would find more repeated names.

RnB · 11/02/2012 08:12

Brantley??

FaithHopeAndKevin · 11/02/2012 07:56

Karizma stood out for me too.

AnEcumenicalMatter · 11/02/2012 07:50

I know a Thane. I also encountered a baby called Charisma several years ago. I thought it was bad enough without the krazee spelling.
