Thought I would start another thread going (don't mean to be greedy Blush), the other thread got me thinking. As it says really, which do you prefer. Thankyou

Love them both. Have two DDs!

clare458 · 01/02/2012 22:47

My dd is Felicity. I chose it because it's not very popular and I had real mixed reactions when we announced it, so was confident it wouldn't become over used.

YodasMummy · 01/02/2012 21:16

Felicity. I was going to call DD Felicity but don't like the nickname Flic. I am liking Felix tho :)

LaFilleSurLePont · 01/02/2012 19:06

Felicity.

Hulababy · 01/02/2012 18:27

Florence - lovely name
Felicity - don't like it, sorry

Raahh · 01/02/2012 18:19

My granny was Florence- I love it and wanted to use it for DD2- but Dh didn't like Flo as a nn, and said Flossie sounded like a sheepdogGrin. I still love the name though.

Also love Felicity.

That's not really much help is itGrin

diedandgonetodevon · 01/02/2012 17:30

Felicity is lovely. Florence just seems really...meh.

diddl · 01/02/2012 17:29

Felicity.

Used to love Florence, so glad I wasn't able to use it. Its everywhere now and I am slightly bored of hearing it. I would go with the more refreshing sounding Felicity

Rhubarbgarden · 31/01/2012 14:10

Felicity.

PercyFilth · 31/01/2012 14:06

They're both horrible. Mind you that may be because I had an unpleasant great aunt called Florence, and I never could stand smug simpering Felicity Kendall.

3boysgirlontheway · 31/01/2012 13:34

I agree that Florence is becoming very "trendy" but, it is still classic, my husbands grandmother and great grandmother were both called Florence.

hellokitty123 · 31/01/2012 12:52

There are SO many baby Florences here these days... I agree it is becoming very trendy and may therefore date more than a more classic name like Felicity (which is lovely!).

The other problem with Florence is the lack of nice nicknames - Flo, Florrie, Flic, Flac are all awful imo, I'm afraid.

emmyloo2 · 31/01/2012 12:43

I like both but Florence is really becoming popular whereas Felicity is probably quite unusual these days, although it was everywhere in the 70s. I would go Felicity simply because Florence is going to be the next Lily I suspect.

Littlecherublegs · 31/01/2012 12:18

Florence is much more popular and I really dont like 'Flo' as a nn (reminds me Andy Capp!)

Not a great fan of either but if I had to pick I'd go for Felicity with Flick or Fliss as nn.

rachel234 · 31/01/2012 11:46

"Flic is a cool nickname." Really Hmm? I don't think so, I'm afraid.

rachel234 · 31/01/2012 11:46

Agree that Florence is becoming VERY popular round here.... Maybe Felicity will remain a little more timeless and classic.

tummytickler · 31/01/2012 11:09

Felicity.

EllenRose · 31/01/2012 10:50

Prefer Florence of the two

oohermrs · 31/01/2012 10:47

I like Felicity - Flic is a cool nickname.

3boysgirlontheway · 31/01/2012 10:44

I am having a Florence in 5 weeks, call yours Felicity :)

ZZZenAgain · 31/01/2012 10:43

don't like the sound of Felicity, too fussy for me, so I would prefer Florence of those 2

JenniferLaunders · 31/01/2012 10:41

I like Felicity, nn Fliss
