Pretty, cool & unusual girls' names

We have just found out that our third (and final) attempt at IVF was successful and that we are having a girl. Although I've had years to think of names, I am completely out of inspiration at the moment. Also, we live overseas so are not familiar with the trends in the UK.

I would really appreciate some suggestions. I am looking for a pretty name, but one that is also cool. And not in the Top 100.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Wow! Congratulations - you must be sooo excited Grin.

My taste in baby girl names is, generally speaking, very unpopular on MN (Ivy, Lily, Poppy etc.) Grin. The only one I really love which might fit your criteria is Delphi.

Alba. My favourite name. Would have had it for dd but her twin is Henry and it was too Time Traveller's Wifey to use both. Huge congrats!

MalibuStacy · 30/01/2012 09:07

No name suggestions (though I love Elka) but just couldn't read this without saying a heartfelt congrats!

Ooooo hang on what about Juno? I love that name but have a feeling it would never be countenanced by DH...

MalibuStacy · 30/01/2012 07:24

Thanks for the congrats. I have waited for this for 20 years. You'd think I'd have a bloody name sorted by now, wouldn't you? Smile
