How popular is James amongst the under 5s is it such a classic name that it doesn't matter?

I really really wanted this for DS but 24 years ago it was a very common name. DS got it as a middle name.

It's classic. It's classless. It's got numerous nick names.

It's just a fantastic name.

I love it and may be a little bias.

DS is 8 and is the only James in his school and has been for the 4 yrs he's been there.
