Fenton

Adolf, Beelezebub, Satan, Lucifer, Jezabel, Lolita.

Any drug including alcoholic drinks (I taught an Opium - just imagine what she was like, yep just like that).

Parents/grandparents names, personally don't like the Little Johnny Junior or Little Johnny II.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Quodlibet · 27/01/2012 21:36

Ooh Angibolen Nigel belongs on my list too.

Quodlibet · 27/01/2012 21:35

Also any name that sounds awful in a whiny saaafeast London accent (Chloaaaaaaae, Kafffrin, Louisaaaaar etc). I once met an Epiphany (imagine it said in a whiny saafeast teenage drawl). Bad choice of name for that particular child who was frankly not most inspiring child.

ihaveforgottenmyname · 27/01/2012 21:35

My eldest DS name is on here, when I was younger and fantasising my future children I always said I would never use it but it sees right for him! I love it now but would never call a baby
Sophie not sure why just don't like it I love Sophia. That's about it I think! x

AngiBolen · 27/01/2012 21:35

Nigel.

Because both Nigel's I went to school with always had green snotty noses.

Debra/Deborah
Dawn (DH actually suggested this for DD. I am still Confused)

Quodlibet · 27/01/2012 21:30

Oooh there's a long list of names my sister and I have hated since childhood. No real idea why:

Neil
Ian
Keith
Wayne
Dean
Kevin
Martin
Craig

LineRunner · 27/01/2012 21:28

Spunkmeyer.

MamaMaiasaura · 27/01/2012 21:26

Adolph
Saddam
Herman

Stars22 · 27/01/2012 21:24

Tabitha, Tallulah, Claire, Caleb, Connor, Fleur

DilysPrice · 27/01/2012 18:10

Cassandra
Heathcliff
Ophelia
Jude
Cordelia

Ill-starred names in general.

And I personally would never use Niamh, Callum, Connor, Aoife, Finlay etc etc because I'm not Irish or Scottish (and nor is DH)

mrsravelstein · 27/01/2012 18:04

smogwod, your dh would like my dc2 and 3, we inadvertently called them, ahem, two of the names on your list, and only realised afterwards that it implied we were bigger fans of a certain film than was in fact the case

LineRunner · 27/01/2012 18:02

I personally would think twice about calling any daughter of mine Barak Obama.

moonunit2011 · 27/01/2012 17:55

..... or Barry

moonunit2011 · 27/01/2012 17:54

Gary

icooksocks · 27/01/2012 14:28

I dislike Chloe and Jack. Certainly not offensive in anyway but just not my cuppa tea.

shouldnotbehere · 27/01/2012 14:22

My name has already appeared on here, it often does, and have seen it described as chavvy on other threads. It doesn't bother me at all.

If the names picked for our bump, come up on this site, I still won't care. I love the names, and what somebody who I've never met on the internet, doesn't bother me. If you find thread upsetting. Stop being so darn sensitive. I use mumsnet baby names for ideas, and feedback (occasionally a mumsnetter has a legitimate point on associations with a name, or rude shortening).

shouldnotbehere · 27/01/2012 14:10

Mabel
Jessica
Beryl
Arrabella

Andrew
John
Kevin
Oswald

....... and lots more

YodasMummy · 27/01/2012 13:36

Kim, rosie or katie... or any other names of dh's ex gfs. (yes, that is my only reason, so nobody with those names need be offended!)

OTheHugeManatee · 27/01/2012 12:51

Tarquin

Kevin

Petunia

Mildred

Papyrus · 27/01/2012 12:43

Erica or Beryl

Used to abhor Margaret, for no particular reason, but it grew on me when we met an adorable three year old Maggie on holiday. On the last day we found out she was in fact called Magenta! But Margaret still makes me think of her and smile.

ThePathanKhansWitch · 27/01/2012 12:37

Claire, but only because i was bullied by a girl with that name at schoolSad.

I still get a bit sweaty when i'm introduced to a new claire. Although i have to say, all the ones i've met as an adult have been sweet.

coccyx · 27/01/2012 12:36

caitlin, grace, jack, harry,

notso · 27/01/2012 12:36
