What are the hip Londoners & jet set calling their 2012 babies?

Just wondering what the posh Londoners & jet setters are calling their new babies as these are always the names that trickle into the main stream in a few months. A friend of mine is a midwife in a private London hospital & she said the following are really gaining popularity

Boy

  • Arlo
-Otto -Casper

Girls
-Fleur
-Ottolie(never heard this before!!!)
-Florence

She said in the upper class William, Edward still used commonly for boys as middle names. Charlotte, Isabella, Poppy for girls

Can you add anymore up & coming names?I'm sure there are plenty of threads like this I'm just too lazy to look!!!) Find it fascinating & I love the way high society types get away with names the majority of us find somewhat bizarre!!!

Cash? Really?!

Axel is nice, very common in Germany, although sounds a bit dated (it's 70s name).

I can also see people getting tired of the cutesy type names -Archie, Albie, Evie, Charlie, Ellie, etc.

I know - 3boysgirlontheway! We have decided on ours now & just double checking it wont be mentioned here lol!!! Florence is such a fab name-so timeless & will never date.
As Tammyboy pointed out the cute abbreviated name seem to be soooo 2011 lol!! I'm in Ireland shouldnotbethere & have been looking at our birth announcements here & classic Irish names are still reigning supreme within the Irish elite! Fab names out of the telegraph love Cosmo but would never be allowed:(

Florence would have been my girls name six years ago, I know how you feel 3boys.

I predict even more 'old lady' type names after Lily Allen's, Ethel, and Beyonce's, Blue boak Ivy.

I am not impressed with Florence being so popular, it is the name of our DD to be, and was her Great Grandmothers name. It would have been her name if she was born 10 years ago as well iykwim?

Damn trendy names, not a fan!!

I wouldn't know.

My mum has been checking the baby name announcements in The Telegraph every week, as she knows we're struggling with girls names. She has come up with:

Girls

Nesta
Elodie
Rosanna
Frances
Selina

Boys

Cosmo
Miles
Tobias
Barnabas

Not that we are having any of the above.

Thats what it looks like alright Tammytoby-it defo seems like the cutesey names have reached saturation! Another name that the 'in crowd' seem to be choosing is Albert(bertie) & Tobias(Toby).
Florence is the name du jour alright!!

I predict (based on pregnant friends):

Carla
Josephine

Thaddeus
Quentin
Arthur

And I also predict that cutey typ names (Ellie, Evie, Archie, etc) will decline in popularity. More 'solid' names will become fashionable.
