Would it be awful to re-use a name for sibling?

As in when we had our son we presumed he would be our last and used all our fav names (two middle names) we are having another boy shortly and DH is absolutely set on DS1's first middle name but i'm a bit meh at the thought of nicking my poor boys middle name. Like we were just too lazy to think of anything else Grin

I know a few families with children sharing the same first name. All were known by their middle name in general and full name formally.

I personally wouldn't do it as would feel like taking something of a childs own. Unless it was for family reasons etc.

I know, I think he had the idea that if his brain got totally addled by boxing at least he would remember what his boys were called, seeing as his grils all have different names, I guess he is not to bothered about them Hmm

Not as yet rachel... That's kind of the rub for me, feel like he needs his own little story.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the name George by what kind of madman would you be to name all five of your boys the same?? Grin

I think it's weird sorry OP's DH - there's hundreds of others to choose from!

Not awful but a little unimaginative. Also, your ds2 might feel why he didn't get his 'own' names? Any others you both love?

DD is the 5th generation of Catherine at least! We have a photo of four of us together. George Foreman has 5 kids called George! Go for your life! Grin

It didn't bother George Forman.

I think it is a little odd.
