Georgia is by far the best but I could live with Serena.

Journey · 30/12/2011 11:30

Hermione - ugly bulky name
Seren - not keen
Georgia - nice
Rowan - best for a boy

oikopolis · 29/12/2011 21:21

Hermione - lovely, bit Harry Potter these days.
Seren - gorgeous
Georgia - nice
Rowan - bit masculine

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/12/2011 21:19

Hermione - love it
Seren - don't like
Georgia - don't like but love Georgiana
Rowan - only like it for a boy

BelleTheBeatnik · 28/12/2011 22:46

I think the Harry Potter connotations are a little too strong atm for Hermione, but maybe it will become a bit more usable in time?
I quite like Rowan, but prefer Seren or Georgia for a little girl. Agree with mollymole - have you considered Rowena?

mollymole · 28/12/2011 15:06

what about Rowena - sounds good with Amalie

3isamagicnumber · 28/12/2011 14:36

Hermione - too Harry Potter / too trying too hard
Seren - not really come across this name - not sure
Georgia - like it!
Rowan - too unisex

So Georgia for me!!

liveinazoo · 28/12/2011 12:04

def not georgia.popular with mums who also have kylies and charyls and aimees where i live,so i associate with gobby little monsters!Blush.love the other three though.seren my favourite

LaFilleSurLePont · 28/12/2011 11:58

Seren or Georgia. They're both beautiful.

Rowan only works for a boy imho.

Hermione is ugly.

TheAnnoyingSatsuma · 27/12/2011 19:56

Hermione sounds quite similar to Amalie.

Not keen on the others - what about Robyn or Romy instead of Rowan?

Doozie · 27/12/2011 19:54

Hermione is my favourite from your list.

Lonnie · 27/12/2011 19:53

Seren by far the best Hermione is lovely i dont care for Georgia or Rowan they are to harsh sounding for my liking

chocjunkie · 27/12/2011 19:48

rowan is by far the best of your list. also like georgia but not keen on the other two.

BoxingBiddy · 27/12/2011 19:40

I love Seren.

Hermione is OK

Dislike Rowan and really dislike Georgia.

BroomBuBuBum · 27/12/2011 19:40

Rowan is beautiful, I love it. Classic, elegant and unusual. Would of been DD's name if DP hadn't vetoed it.

MerylStrop · 27/12/2011 19:38

Love Hermione, would have had it for DD (but it got bumped because of the middle name we wanted), or if DS2 had been a girl.
Love Rowan too, very different to your other choices though.
I know a few Serens, including a male one. And oodles of Georgias, but I don't think it's as nice as the other names

wonkytree · 27/12/2011 19:35

Hermion is very pretty, if you can get past the Harry Potter bit! People will always struggle to spell it though.

BastedTurkey · 27/12/2011 19:05

Used to love Georgia but now quite over-used - 4 in DD3s primary school of 140. Hermione is my fave

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 27/12/2011 17:55

Georgia by a long way!

AnotherMincepie · 27/12/2011 17:53

Hermione - nice, pretty yet a little edgy, rather posh
Seren - getting quite overdone now, prefer Serena
Georgia - like
Rowan - dislike, too unisex, Rowan Williams/Atkinson, prefer Rowena

woolly76 · 27/12/2011 17:40

Thanks everyone i should add her sister is Amalie we call her Mali though

All lovely bar Rowan. Hermione is really lovely, and is my favourite by far, but Seren and Georgia are also pretty.

EdithWeston · 27/12/2011 17:21

Hermione

karentokylie · 27/12/2011 17:21

Hermione = too try-hard
Seren = traveller's name (OK if you're a traveller, I guess)
Georgia = lovely
Rowan = OK, bit masculine.

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 27/12/2011 17:20

I love Seren. I'd not heard of it before joining MN
