Oscar, Theo, Tobias, Hugo - but which one to go for?!

Absolutely love all these names but which one to go for?! It's harder for us to choose boys names as we already have two, so our favourites are used - but we love all these names equally!

Hugo is gorgeous. Tobias would become Toby which is not nice. Oscar is a cat's name and although I like Theo, it really is quite faddy and would date hugely.

Hugo Hugo Hugo!

Oh and Beatrice is lovely too

ChristmasPlughole - what area are you in for there to be lots of Theo's around? I have only overheard one at a local fete - and there are none at my eldest son's school.

Thanks everyone. At this moment, Theo is now taking the lead but I keep changing from one to another! Maggie - what did you choose for a girl out of curiosity? We are likely to go for Beatrice.

Theo (Theodore), Tobias and Hugo were all on our shortlist for dd3.

They are all great names and very similar in style to each other. I would struggle to pick one too. Maybe choose the one which works the best with your other dc's names, your sn and any mn's you are considering.

We have a Tobias (never really Toby) so that would be my choice

Lots of Theos around now, not sure if that bothers you? A few oscars too. Haven't met any tobais 's, personally tho I think it's an ugly sounding name. Hugo..... Sounds quite posh. But also not v intelligent.

Um Oscar is best.

I adore the name Oscar. Hugo would be my second choice.
