Here is our shortlist for DC2. We do not know if we are having a boy or girl(though I'm quite certain it's a boy, but we'll see!)

Middle names are family names - Margaret, after my sister, and Jack after FIL

Hugh (DH favourite though won't be able to use the middle name as all I can think of is 'Hugh Jackman'. DH doesn't like Hugo)
Samuel Jack
Angus Jack
Lewis Jack [my favourite (after my ultimate favourite Joseph, which DH veoted]
Louis Jack
Heath Jack

Camille Margaret
Charlotte Margaret (has always been my favourite girls name though I'm having doubts given how popular it is)
Alice Margaret
Louisa Margaret (DH's favourite, I also am quite keen)
Brigitte Margaret

Other suggestions are VERY welcome!

I wouldn't let middle names affect you choosing a first name you love. If you have a son he would be known as Hugh. Maybe once or twice a year someone might ask him, out of idle curiousity, what his middle name is. If you have him christened it will come up and I guess he'll write it on exam papers etc when he is older. Really don't think a middle name is a big deal in life.

But my favourites from your list are Charlotte and Lewis

Samuel Jack or Louisa Margaret.

I like Samuel Jack, Angus Jack and Louis Jack.

Agree Hugh and Heath don't go so well with Jack as a mn.

Are you French at all? Camille and Brigitte I would think of as French names. Camilla and Bridget would be the English equivalent.

I really like Louisa Margaret, Alice Margaret and Camille/Camilla Margaret. Louisa is my favourite. I do quite like Charlotte Margaret and Bridget Margaret, but not sure about having both first and middle names ending with a "t" sound.

I like Samuel Jack and Louis Jack out of your boys names,
For girls, Camille Margaret, Alice Margaret and Louisa Margaret are my favourites.

Side note - was unsure on the best spelling of Brigette - I am definitely one for traditional spellings but wasn't sure what the tradition was on this name. Am happy with Bridget if you think this is more known

I think you need more than one syllable with middle name Jack - Heath/Hugh Jack sounds odd, for instance. I don't think Angus or Louis go well with Jack, so perhaps Samuel or Lewis for boys' name.

I like all your girls' names apart from Brigitte (I do like Bridget, but Brigitte, if pronounced in a German sort of way, I'm not so keen on). Camille is very pretty.
