Robert is my Dad. So want to have that as a MN.

We have a cool one sylabel last name - like Steele.

Yes I like it! Do prefer longer names on BCs I.e. Maximilian, but that's just me..

mopsyflopsy · 14/11/2011 07:18

Robert Steele is much nicer than Max Steele imo.

PotteringAlong · 14/11/2011 07:34

Love max Robert!

BikeRunSki · 14/11/2011 07:42

Max Steele sounds a bit like a video game hero Hmm. Or is it just me?

BikeRunSki · 14/11/2011 07:43

Sorry, scrap my last post, v tired and tactless, with 3 yo and 3 week old who appear not to be able to sleep at the same time.

Towndon · 14/11/2011 08:03

Yes, I like it. I'd use Maximilian as full name.

iarebaboon · 14/11/2011 08:10

Hmmm better than Robert Max(well) certainly

bigbluebump · 14/11/2011 11:16

With a one syllable surname, I'd not use a short name like Max as a first name.
How about Robert as a first name - lovely name and has lots of great nicknames.

halecromp · 14/11/2011 11:23

I think Max Robert Steele is a lovely name, sounds very strong and masculine x

bigbluebump · 14/11/2011 11:25

But you'd not say Robert when saying his name, it would be Max Steele - and to me a two syllable first name goes better with Steele.

whatever117 · 19/11/2011 00:27

We are Scottish so thinking Maxwell Robert Steele

Robert Maxwell!

Kerry Katona's "li'l man" is called Maxwell, so I'd steer clear.

tammytoby · 19/11/2011 07:15

I prefer Robert Steele.

SlinkingOutsideInSocks · 19/11/2011 07:18

There's a school of though which says one syllable first names shouldn't be put with one syllable surnames, especally if the sound the first name ends with is the same sound the surname begins with.

But... rules are made to be broken.

I think Max Steele has a Texan oil magnate ring to it, and not in a bad way. I like it.

jellybeans · 19/11/2011 12:56

I love it. Great name. Prefre just Max to longer forms.
