Unusual, creative boys names

Struggling for inspiration. I quite like artsy / naturey / literary names. Except Atticus. Really not a fan.

Anything unusual, creative, outside the Top 500-ish?

Anyone? Smile

Some lovely names on here. I love Amos, Orson, Quentin, Linus and Constantin - classic but not overused.

How about Leopold, Henrik, Fabian or Roman?

yellowflowers I'd be curious to know YOUR favourite names? Because they may be very different - in which case I'd expect you to dislike my choices Smile. I'm surprised that you need to 'snort out loud' when hearing names that you wouldn't choose?

AS we've had Horatio, Lysander and Orlando how about we continue looking to Shakespeare?

Cymbeline

Julius and Julian are lovely as well.

These threads always make me want to have a few more babies. Grin

There are some beautiful names appearing one here. One or two howlers, but all in the eye of the beholder and all that. Smile

I think Lysander and Heath are lovely.

Why shouldn't yellowflowers enjoy a list she finds risible?

(Am I imagining it, or is Baby Names in general becoming less tolerant of divergent views?)

Well, we all have different tastes. :) I have a Sam and my next will be an Eleanor or a Jack, Charlie or Will. Boring by some standards, but I like them. However, I really love the sound of names like Indigo, Cedar, etc...they just don't work for me.

yellowflowers · 14/11/2011 22:49

Because nearly every suggestion is making me snort out loud. Sorry.

I've already shared them, but having a name change soon :o

My boys are Darwin, Heath, Shay, Gabriel and Hendrix and together they have the middle names Wolf, Cassian, Silas, Orlando and Jeremiah. I like to think they are unusual and creative and we are yet to come across someone with the same name :o
