If you like the sound but don't want Emily or Emma, what about Emelia?

TidyDancer · 13/11/2011 11:36

Ooh Emery....NO!!!!

Mallory is a lovely name, but apparently means 'unlucky' so I don't know if I could use it because of that association.

Emery sounds like an ugly combination of Emma and Emily, both of which are pretty on their own.

SlinkingOutsideInSocks · 13/11/2011 00:17

Mallory's a gorgeous name - good suggestion.

However, isn't Avery the brother in Charlotte's Web...?

pixiestix · 12/11/2011 12:27

Oh dear no.

Avery
Mallory
Clemency

sevenoften · 12/11/2011 07:33

Sounds like a Japanese attempt at Emily.

Or emery board.

SlinkingOutsideInSocks · 12/11/2011 07:22

I know of a little Emory, spelt with an 'o'. Her sister is Eléa, which is similar to Isla, so I think they'd go well!

The world officially has enough Emmas. Wink

CheerfulYank · 12/11/2011 00:32

I know a little Emrie. She's adorable. :)

Emerson is quite popular for girls here and you could call her Emerie for short. Otherwise just Emma is nice.

I'm glad a few other people said "Dick", so it's not just me showing my age!

AitchTwoOh · 12/11/2011 00:07

board, sorry.

SirHumphreyAppleby · 12/11/2011 00:06

There's a train called Emery on chuggington, but it's a boy train.

jasper · 12/11/2011 00:04

no way

susiedaisy · 11/11/2011 23:47

Emery board! Also even if I thought of it as a name it would be a boys name in my head not a girls.

LaFilleSurLePont · 11/11/2011 23:41

As in board?

mogandthecat · 11/11/2011 21:10

Not emery! (board)

Emer is a name though (Irish not sure of meaning).
