Old fashioned/ slightly unusual girls names

We've been thinking about names. Seem to be able to think of more boys names than girls.

We already have 2 boys and don't know the sex of the baby I'm carrying yet but want to make a bit of a list of ideas for girls names.

Names for girls I have liked in the past are:
Lilly
Evie
Iris

We tend to like old fashioned or slightly unusual names that aren't too long. Gone off Lilly and Evie a bit as they've become quite popular now. Have a niece called Isla too so not sure if that's too close to Iris...

Our sons are called Dylan and Miles.

Any ideas?

Oh crikey what a small world we live in Grin.

I think dh's surname is Irish? Shall I just post it?

Ok...

Dooler. There's about a million members of his family and I'm forever forgetting names! Even the dc's school bus driver knows my dh (or at least of my dh) and we don't even live there anymore lol!

Ah well, I'm sorry I hijacked your thread!!BlushBlush xx

Ivy is a lovely name, would be a good choice :)

LizzieBusy · 22/11/2011 16:58

Betty or
Mary is traditional and not popular

CherryPie3 · 22/11/2011 16:55

Ivy is a beautiful choice! Really very pretty (as are many of the older names).

You've got me wondering what your surname is haha. Dh's family is HUGE - don't suppose you're from West Yorkshire at all are you? (don't mean to be nosey...ok maybe a little... Grin)

xx

Dalrymps · 21/11/2011 20:56

Wow thanks for all the suggestions!
