Ooh yes. (Totally not relevant now but do you remember Barnaby the Bear? ) Very cute bear from the 70's. (I am old) Can't do link (sorry) but Youtube and 'Barnaby the Bear Opening'. So cute.

I like it. I have a good (40-year-old) friend called Barney - I think it's nice as a child and adult (my test for whether a 'cute' name would work - not cute in a bad way, but definitely on the cute side IYKWIM).
