Contemplating Felicity for my baby if it's a girl. Not so keen on Flick, quite like Fliss. Any others???

I know a Fizzy. Think it's really cute. Though she's 11 now so probably won't want it for much longer.

Flossie, Liccy or Flea

Lucky or Happy? Linked to the Latin meaning so not totally random and might become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Congratulations!

Its a great name and I am so glad we named our daughter it as great fun and easy to live with if that makes sence (sp?)

Ours is Flisvos! After a greek friend most of the time.

thistlemuncher · 20/12/2011 19:53

I went to school with two people called Felicity, one known as Flick, the other as Fish!

Update -now DD2 has got the hang of the fact she actually has a name she calls herself Cece! I quite like it and weirdly our Felicity could have been called Cecily.

Smiller10 · 19/12/2011 18:17

My friend Felicity is called Lissa which I really like

clare458 · 10/11/2011 12:45

Thanks for your replies. We found out this morning that we are having a girl! Smile So she will almost certainly be Felicity.
Reading through, I quite like Flixy and Fifi or might find we just call her Felicity. I do like the fact that regardless of her nn, when it comes to things like writing her own name and filling out forms etc, she'll be Felicity!

Flixy or Trixy

BeeMyBaby · 10/11/2011 04:32

As a Felicity, I was always called Fizzy in primary/secondary school.

MorallyBankrupt · 09/11/2011 18:10

Lissie is the NN of the one I know. Great name!

msbuggywinkle · 09/11/2011 12:29

We call ours Flissy, Lissy or Fluffy.

TheBrideofFrankenstein · 09/11/2011 04:26

I know two- Tei (pronounced Tea) and Foo.

allhailtheaubergine · 09/11/2011 04:07

I have known three Felicitys - they were known as Fliss, Flick and Fluff.

CountBapula · 09/11/2011 03:57

Felicity is a family name on DH's side. His aunt Felicity is nicknamed Lucy, his niece is Diddy, and his sister's Blue. None of which really have anything much to do with Felicity, but sounds like you don't mind that sort of approach.

CheerfulYank · 09/11/2011 03:30

I think Lissie is cute and really like Fizz! :)

Flick puts me off only because of, erm, the phrase "flicking the bean." Blush

I know a little Felicity who is Flossy or Floss to her family.

Molybdenum · 08/11/2011 23:40

I went to school with a Felicity who was known as Fel.

LemonDifficult · 08/11/2011 23:27

I really like Flick as a nn. Not drippy or cutesy-wutesy but funky.

I know a lovely Flick and she is v glam, ballet dancing barrister (Which may have influenced my view).

senua · 08/11/2011 23:23

DD has a friend called Felicity, who drives far too fast. Her nickname is Velocity.Grin

Dexifehatz · 08/11/2011 23:19

We have a Felicity Faith and call her Flissy Miss, Flissy, FeFe.I absolutely detest Flic and my Dad calls her Filly, which I think is the nickname one of the American presidents gave to his daughter.
