Do you know that Lilith is the name of a demon?!

BigKahuna · 11/11/2011 19:54

I like all of your boy's names, but Nathaniel is my favourite. Sebastian St Joh is a bit of a mouthful.

I like Georgiana and Harriet of your girls names. Winnie is a sweet nn but Winifred is a bit too much for me! Martha is a bit meh. Millicent is awful. Henrietta is OK.

earlyriser · 11/11/2011 19:51

If you like Freddie/Harry/Henry, is there a reason they are not an option for a boy?

proudfoot · 11/11/2011 19:34

I like all the boys' names. Would lean towards Adam but all good names.

Of the girls I like Martha and Harriet.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 10/11/2011 07:35

I love Sebastian and Nathaniel (which I'd prob shorten to Nate), only like Martha on your girls list, just because I'm not keen on old fashioned names

emmyloo2 · 10/11/2011 06:36

Alexander St John - nice but quite popular. Classic though and won't date
Adam St John - love this. I have decided it is worthy of a come back!
James St John - no please not James. Too many! Dull, dull dull!
Sebastian St John - ok.
Nathaniel St John - love this with nn Nate

Lilith and Daisy will definatly be mn if a girl

Martha Lilith Daisy - don't like Martha
Millicent Lilith Daisy - love this
Harriet Lilith Daisy (call her harri though)
Winifred Lilith Daisy (call her freddie though) - Gorgeous!
Henritta Lilith Daisy (call her henry/Harri though) - Gorgeous!
Georgiana Lilith Daisy - don't like this at all. Georgia is gorgeous but this sounds made up...

Rydwinhoffidecaffcoffi · 09/11/2011 23:33

St John is a family name hence that (as are the girl mn) DP said no to having it as a fn (as others in my family have it)
Theas as in Miss Darcy - jor gee ah na

Thanks

Martha Lilith Daisy
Millicent Lilith Daisy
Harriet Lilith Daisy (call her harri though)
Winifred Lilith Daisy (call her freddie though)
Henritta Lilith Daisy (call her henry/Harri though)
Georgiana Lilith Daisy

exoticfruits · 08/11/2011 22:22

Alexander or Harriet.

(Winifred is dire-don't lumber her with it!)

AberdeenAngusina · 08/11/2011 21:55

Alexander is an awesome name. Can't go wrong.

In order - Alexander / James / Adam / Nathaniel / Sebastian. I don't think Sebastian St John is a good combination.

I like all your girls names, but think "Millicent Lilith" is a bit of a tongue twister, so I'd put it last.

Scathac · 08/11/2011 21:13

Why are you so keen on St John? okay if it's a family name or something, but otherwise it is SO pretentious.

bumasbigasthetv · 08/11/2011 21:06

love Alexander St John

Theas18 · 08/11/2011 21:04

How would you pronounce Georgiana from paper: jor-jay-nuh or jor-gee-ah-na?

The first I love!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/11/2011 19:33

Love Georgiana, Daisy, Martha and Harriet. Don't like Lilith.

Adam and James are my favourite from the boys' list. Don't like St John at all.

PrincessWellington · 08/11/2011 19:27

Boy in my college got the piss taken with sinjun as his middle name. We all didn't believe st John was sinjun. We thought he was making it up. Blush

ShowOfHands · 08/11/2011 19:10

The boys names are meh, though St John I like.

Winifred and Henrietta are great.

MuddlingThroughItAll · 08/11/2011 19:06

Love all of the middle names you have chosen - they're fab!

For first names I would choose Sebastien and Harriet.

I've never met anyone with St John as part of their name and I've always wondered, when your name is written as initials does it count as two words (SJ) or just one (S)?

Rhubarbgarden · 08/11/2011 18:57

Sebastian or Adam

Harriet

BabyDubsEverywhere · 08/11/2011 18:15

Im at college with a Henrietta who is so ashamed (her words not mine) of her name she tells people shes called Jo!

I love James.

3isamagicnumber · 08/11/2011 12:57

Nathanial or Sebastian

Martha or Georgiana

stickyLFDTfingers · 08/11/2011 12:21

millicent lilith daisy would be milly lily daisy if you're not careful!

TBBH (other B is Brutally) the only girl's name I like there is Lilith. The boy's names seem, well, a bit posh, Daily Telegraphy, Clarendon Schooly. But if that's the vibe you're going for, then you've got it just right!

bigwheelsturning · 08/11/2011 12:17

Sebastian is my favourite, but it doesn't go well with St John (which is great) unfortunately. Really don't like Nathaniel (& really really really don't like Nate which is what every Nathaniel I know has ended up being called) & agree James & Adam are boring .... so Alexander I suppose.

Girls - Martha is miles ahead of the others imo, I suspect Georgiana would be constantly confused with Georgina.

Alexander or Nathaniel

Millicent or Georgiana

SoupDragon · 08/11/2011 11:46

Sebastian or Nathaniel

None of your girl names really do it for me though. The two I actively don't like are Winifred and Georgiana.
