I can think of a few names for some of those posting 'critiques' of names here....

Beatrice, Lilly and jasmine are lovely and not in the slightest chavvy

I have a Bea so am biased but it is a really lovely name.

Not unusual but not quite so popular as Milly/Tilly/Lily.

And really who knows how a name will go - all it needs is for an ex BB star to call her child that name and there yo

IMO Beatrice Lily and Jasmine are the 3 most popular.

I prefeer Millie myself and i like Molly

I have a Molly, and it is most certainly not a chavvy name where I live. As for popularity, I meet far more children with my second daughter's name which is meant to be the less popular name of the two. Guess it comes down to where you live.

Isn't Molly a n for Margaret? Milly Molly Mandy was Millicent Margaret Amanda

I don't know about the class connotations of these names (I've met middle class people with all of these names except Millie) but Millie and Molly in my opinion are very cutsie except as nns. And I too wonder why Mandy is missing from the list

imho, Beatrice is ugly. That's the one that makes me wince.
Lily is perhaps "overused".

Jasmine is extremely popular around here, guess that says what kind of area I live in. But none of the Jasmines I know fit any Chav stereotype (no baseball caps, no trackies, nobody in housing association). Great big house, very expensive car and 2nd home in Florida more likely.

Friend called her baby Emilia, Millie for short. I'd use Millie as nn for Millicent.

My grandmother's rule of thumb (vair old school) was that you should be able to put Lord or Lady in front of a Christian name without wincing. Obv, this does not included nns! As the higher orders tend to user ridiculous monikers for each other.

I work in quite a posh private school and teach a Jasmine and quite a few Lilys ad Millies (often Elizabeth and Amelia though). I don't they're chavvy (ugh, hate that word!) at all.

Beatrice - Rank 116 in 2010, 492 babies named it. I'm not keen personally.

Jasmine - Rank 41 in 2010, 1466 babies named it. I think it's quite pretty - nickname Jazzy is kind of cute.

Lily - Rank 4 in 2010, 4257 babies named it. I like it but it's quite bland.

Millie - Rank 32 in 2010, 1733 babies named it. I don't like it much.

Molly - Rank 42 in 2010, 1454 babies named it. I think it's sweet and pretty.

So, if you want a fairly unusual name Beatrice is your only option.
I like Molly best.

They are nice names, nothing wrong with them, but IMo they're just boring, nothing special names. Massive apologies to anyone who has children with these names, I'm sure you know it isn't meant unkindly, tastes differ, etc.

I would go with old solid classics. You can't possibly go wrong with them.

Beatrice - Like
Jasmine - Was quite popular about 6 years ago, there seem to be loads of primary-school-aged Jasmines at the moment.
Lily - Like
Millie - Prefer Milly
Molly - Love!

I love Lily, but it is incredibly popular.

Beatrice is also lovely.

I much prefer Yasmin to the more common Jasmine.

Millie and Molly are a bit twee and both very popular and have been for years.

Jasmine is, IMO, chavtastic. Beatrice is lovely but according to my spies is becoming increasingly popular, especially in the SE.

Lily is my favourite name of all time! I am going to call my daughter Lily when i have her. It is defo not chavy It's more posh than chav hope you choose this name. Second favourite Milly then Jasmine (Jas)

I don't think any of them are chavvy, popular yes chavvy no.

My problem with Milly, Molly (and Tilly etc) is that they are dogs' names. I know at least 3 dogs with each of those names.

all chavvy except Beatrice I'm afraid; Millie and mollie are very prevalent amongst chavs often hyphenated ie millie-ruby and Mollie-may (actual people) same for Jasmine and Kerry katona has a Lilly so that says it all

Beatrice - not at all chavvy
Jasmine - very very very slightly, due to nn Jaz
Lily - no, it isn't. Lily is fab as nn for Elizabeth
Millie - if it's a nn for Emilia or Amelia, definitely not chavvy. On it's own, still not, just not as definite.
Molly - not at all chavvy. Traditionally a nn for Mary

I think they are all perfectly nice names - not my cup of tea, but perfectly pretty and acceptable names. I don't think they have any negative connotations.

I'm afraid I think Jasmine has quite a high chav factor. The others are pretty but I'm sure they're up in the most popular lists, except perhaps Beatrice. That would be my favourite on your list.

What's considered chavvy probably depends on where you live.
