Francis, nn frank/ie ??

For a boy I'm thinking, possibly with Henry as middle name.

My brother is Francis, nicknamed 'Fran'. As a little boy, my mum used to call him 'Francie.' I like it.

I really love Francis, not so keen on Frankie but it's inevitably going to be his nn, still wouldn't put me off using Francis. Even the shortest names are shortened - my son Leo is nn Lou!

Francis is fine,but Frank/Frankie is one of the ugliest names I can think of. It's hideous.

One goes by mike
One goes by Dave.

Although I like it, no one I know with that actual name seems to like it

I prefer Henry.

Henry was my gd's name, which is why I really like it!

My brother got Francis as a first name, no one really uses it, they use his middle name. I think the misspelling and assumption he would be a girl used to annoy him slightly though....
