'Hipster' names?

Having a chat with a friend today about what we consider to be hipster names.

Some names mentioned were Matilda, Florence, Esme, Felix, Leo, Finn, Oscar

What would you add to the list? I am particularly interested as these are the type of name I go for and am trying to work on a list!

I agree with others saying that Matilda, Florence, Esme, Felix, Leo, Finn, Oscar etc are actually very popular now.

I know at least one or two of each of primary age or younger, which suggests they are curent names.

OP - maybe that's OK with you. You have put "hipster" but maybe you just mean not top of the 100 most popular list but nothing totally way out. These names all strike me as popular, lovely names.

To my mind, really hip people (rock stars, serious actors, not slebs, arty intellectual types) name their children very unusual things like:

Whitman (as in Walt)
Elvis
Earl
Rocky
Heathcliff
Wilbur
Edgar
Aramis

not Felix and Leo!

I am not sure you can get a 'hipster' name, can you. Surely just using the word 'hipster' means you are not 'hip'. I am fairly sure non of the lovely young teenagers I know would use the word hip!
Dd's name has been mentioned twice, as has a few of our list names for dc5. I am not hip. I drink tea, go to church, read Wodehouse and don't know how to use an ipod properly.

OMG CaptainNancy with your hipster insights you are really spoiling us! Peveril? Get me a baby to name RIGHT NOW. But if nameberry isn't cutting it, we DO need MN. I mean, I don't even know if a hipster is a good thing to be, but I sure as hell want a baby called Peveril.

babybumble- not sure you're using everyone else's definition of 'hipster'! Florence, Matilda, Oscar, Finn are completely mainstream.

Sadly the nameberry article also seems about 5 years behind the curve .(Dooce! HA!)

Hipster names at the moment- possibly agree on Otto.

No serious 'hipster' is going to give their child a name so common as Finn or Matilda imo!

Jean/Joan/Maud/Fitzroy/Bob/Jason on the other hand are quite ahead of the curve and 'cool' names.
