Hi we are swaying between these two names for a girl..opinions welcome please!

Estella or Sofia??

Estella wouldn't be my choice but its not my baby and you probably wouldn't like my DC names [hsmile].

Sofia is nice but along with Sophie and Sophia is very popular right now, though don't know if that bothers you.

Estella reminds me of Joey's agent in friends.

Great character, not sure about the name.

Sofia I like and don't see why popularity should deter you - some parents seem to think it's an originality competition!!

I vote for Sofia although here in Spain it is incredibly popular now.
Stella sounds to me a bit too American.

Sofia is lovely, but it is UBER popular!

Estella is lovely too, and has the added bonus of being not so common

Both lovely but today I'd pick Estella!

For Sofia, I prefer the Sophia spelling.
