I love both, can't decide. Which do you prefer?

I like Isobel best, but Isabel is OK too. Isabella a bit too fussy and frilly for my taste, Isobel is the most classic and elegant IMO.

Isabel lovely name!

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 26/09/2011 14:08

My daughter has three Isabel's in her class so now one is Isabel, one is Bella and one is Issy. So decide what you want her nickname to be and then choose.

slartybartfast · 26/09/2011 14:07

do you like izzy
do you like bella?

MrsRupertBear · 26/09/2011 14:06

Isabella, my daughter is the only one!

Much prefer Isabelle and Isabella. Not sure why, think they just look prettier and more in sync with the long 'elle' at the end than isobel. Also, you can then do Belle or Bella for nn.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 26/09/2011 08:33

Isobel. Failing that Isabel although Isabella is lovely.

Meteorite · 26/09/2011 08:31

Isabel

PassTheTwiglets · 26/09/2011 06:44

Would people spelling her name wrong annoy you? If so, I'd go for Isabella because there are fewer ways to spell than there are to spell Isabel so I think you'd get a lot more misspellings with Isabel - that might not bother you though! People are always getting my daughter's name wrong and it doesn't bother me (except when my family do it).

peggyblackett · 26/09/2011 06:40

Thanks. I know both are very popular names right now, but I can't think of a name I love more,

They are both lovely. If you called her Isabella, she could be Isabel for short if you/she fancied that later on. But not the other way round.
