We have our final decisions (I think). Opinions much appreciated

After much debate, me and hubby think we have come up with our final choices.
Our other children are Madeleine, Amelie and Dominic and our angel baby is Oliver.

For a girl we have
Annabelle Tabitha and
Sienna Maria.

For a boy we have
Zachary Oliver and
Elijah Oliver.

Which would you choose? Many thanks

Annabelle Tabitha
Zachary Oliver Love Oliver, I have one.Grin

I do like Tabitha but it does remind me of cats. Hmm

FellatioNelson · 15/09/2011 08:39

I like Annabelle but I think having Amelie and Annabelle together will be a bit of a PITA. All that shouting up the stairs and getting the wrong one replying! Tabitha is really lovely, and under-used. Sienna is very pretty, don't like Maria at all.

Not wild about the boys names, but Elijah would be my choice of the two.

pinkgirlythoughts · 15/09/2011 08:35

Ah, it was in Grimsby, so probably not you then :)

sjuperwolef · 14/09/2011 20:22

kate, i think its just my accent/pronounciation of amelie and annabelle that makes them sound similiar they'll be completely different in yours

Teapot13 · 14/09/2011 20:07

I really like the names for your children so far.

I prefer Annabel, spelled that way, although Tabitha isn't a favorite of mine. Do you care about popularity? Because I have a feeling about Annabel. . . we have met at least two.

Sorry, I don't like Sienna at all. It's trendy, and sienna doesn't seem like a particularly nice thing to name someone after.

I like both Zachary and Elijah, but Elijah is a little too hard core for me. (Obviously Zachary is also a Hebrew name with biblical roots, but Elijah just screams Old Testament to me.) Oliver is lovely.

kateg27 · 14/09/2011 19:39

Thanks for the opinions. I too, am unsure of the Annabelle spelling. I don't know which way is best to spell it as the popular spelling varies from area to area.
I don't understand how Amelie and Annabelle can be seen as too similar though? Maybe that's just me.
I did really like Tabitha as a first name but I have been put off by peoples negative opinions and saying it a cats name.
I don't think Quentin would fit, as all my other babies have 3 syllable first names, it is a lovely name though.
Pinkgirlythoughts we are in Sheffield, was it near there you heard us?

Love Zachary, Elijah sounds quite religious to me. Love Annabelle (any spelling!) and Sienna, both very pretty names.

Avinalarf · 14/09/2011 14:42

Elijah and Annabelle, although prefer Annabel

sjuperwolef · 14/09/2011 14:12

elijah and sienna :)

zackery is too modern compared to dominic and annabele is too close to amelie imo.

RickGhastley · 14/09/2011 14:11

My favourites are Annabel (that spelling) and Elijah

PootlePosyPerkin · 14/09/2011 14:08

Both of your choices for boys are lovely. I liked Elijah for DC3 but DH dismissed it with a "hurrumph" & I couldn't have a Zac because I already have a Jack Smile.

I think of your girls names I prefer Sienna - although it's always been a bit close to Senna for me & makes me think of laxatives Blush. Annabelle is OK, just not a name I'm crazy about IYKWIM.

saffronwblue · 14/09/2011 11:23

Annabele and Amelie are too close. How about Tabitha Annabelle? I really like Zachary Oliver.

birdofthenorth · 14/09/2011 11:20

Elijah Oliver is lovely. Beautiful to give him Oliver as a mn.

Love Tabitha & Maria but less keen on Annabelle & Sienna, sorry. My DH loves Annabelle though.

hugebluebump · 14/09/2011 10:56

I like Sienna and Elijah.

CDMforever · 14/09/2011 10:38

Anabelle definitely.

Like Oliver the best out of all the boys' names.

mayanna123 · 14/09/2011 10:03

As it is your fifth child, how about Quentin (Quinn), meaning fifth in latin?

mayanna123 · 14/09/2011 10:02

Sorry, Sienna.

mayanna123 · 14/09/2011 10:02

We have an Annabel so love that. But I also really like Sianna.

I much prefer Elijah from your boys' names - Elijah is a classic, strong but not overused name. I really dislike all the Zac/Zak/Zach names, sorry.

ragged · 14/09/2011 09:44

Sienna Maria, I don't like that spelling of Annabel, and it's just too twee a name, anyway. Your other children's names are not twee, and go better with Sienna.

Both boy names are nice, I slightly prefer Zachary.

FairyArmadillo · 14/09/2011 09:40

Love Elijah Oliver. Prefer Annabelle to Sienna.

ripstheirthroatoutliveupstairs · 14/09/2011 09:33

Sienna and Elijah would be my choice.

pinkgirlythoughts · 14/09/2011 09:19

Bizarrely, our top choices for DS were Annabelle (this spelling) and Zachary! So obviously I think they're both gorgeous names, but I actually think that Sienna and Elijah sound better with your other children's names.

Can I ask roughly what area of the country you're in? I only ask because I was feeding DS in the Mothercare feeding room recently, and a man came in with his children, Amelie and Dominic. I'm sure mentioned 'Madeleine' being in another shop with mummy, too. I remembered it because I thought what lovely names they were!

CurwySwide · 14/09/2011 09:02

I think Elijah Oliver is lovely.

I don't really like your two girls' first names, sorry, but would probably go with Sienna out of the two. I much prefer Tabitha as a first name, and I would put it with Maria as a second name.

Rhubarbgarden · 14/09/2011 07:39

I'd go with Tabitha Maria. I don't like Zachary or Elijah, sorry.

Meteorite · 14/09/2011 07:38

Annabelle Tabitha - love Annabelle, dislike Tabitha
Sienna Maria - both lovely names, although it's quite a sing-songy combination

From the two options I'd go for Sienna Maria. I prefer Annabelle to Sienna but really don't like Tabitha. Even nicer IMHO would be Annabelle Sienna or Annabelle Maria :)

I like both your boys' choices, and Oliver as middle name. I would pick Elijah as it's just a little bit more unusual.
