I adore the name Tilda (Swinton variety) and it's in my top 2 with Lorelei if DC is s girl. I think Tilly is a lovely nm and that it's unusual. I'm personally not bothered about the rice brand but it's up to you Smile

Love it

BuntyPenfold · 12/09/2011 09:08

Rice here too, sorry.

greenzebra · 12/09/2011 08:33

I really like it and would consider it.

mathanxiety · 12/09/2011 00:28

Gorgeous.

TryLikingClarity · 11/09/2011 19:06

My cat is called Matilda (her pic is on my MN profile) and I call her Tilda as a nn.

Since we've had the cat I've actually really started to like the name Tilda for a child, but just don't think I could use it as everyone would think she was named after our cat Confused

If you like it, go for it, OP! It's a nice name, easy to spell and feminine.

BodyUnknown · 11/09/2011 12:30

Tilda, rice, Matilda, Matty, Bas-Matty... :)

I still like it though!

Cereal · 11/09/2011 12:02

I don't like Matilda/Tilly/Tilda, sorry.

squinker45 · 11/09/2011 11:52

Meditrina, and queenofthehill, you are thinking of tilde

kat2504 · 11/09/2011 11:36

middle name Rizazz, as in the microwaveable sachets Tilda make of nice flavoured rice :)

It is a bit less girly than Tilly as a nickname which is possibly a good thing.

MelinaM · 11/09/2011 01:32

^ Grin

Dialsmavis · 10/09/2011 22:32

I have a Matilda and we call her Tilda, as not that keen on Tilly. She also has an Uncle Ben though so the rice theme is fairly well ingrained in our family Grin

PootlePosyPerkin · 10/09/2011 22:26

Yep, basmati rice. And an actress with an interesting sense of style Grin.

tallulah · 10/09/2011 22:19

Rice

MogTheForgetfulCat · 10/09/2011 22:16

Rice here, too

Chynah · 10/09/2011 21:53

As a nn for Mathilda it is better than Tilly.

planetpotty · 10/09/2011 21:47

Rice .... Sorry Smile

BlowHole · 10/09/2011 21:46

Nice, but also rice.

Baffledandbewildered · 10/09/2011 21:45

Lovely name I really like it

LucyDeSpiderman · 10/09/2011 21:39

My Norwegian Norweegan cousin from Norway recently called her daughter Tilda - I think it's lovely. I do prefer Mathilda though, and Tilda as a nn.

squinker45 · 10/09/2011 21:38

I know one, nice name i think

ExpensivePants · 10/09/2011 21:38

forehead · 10/09/2011 21:37

Jezabelle · 10/09/2011 21:36
