Hunter.

DH loves it. I actually do like it too, but living in ruralish England think everyone will think we are bloody bonkers.

Hate it.

I met a baby called Hunter recently, it must be gaining popularity!

I'll admit I thought it was a touch ridiculous and try-hard of the parents. The kind of name you choose if you want your kid to have a "cool" name.

Wasn't there a Hunter in that Gladiators programme? I'm not a fan myself, very 'surnamey /American' I feel.

I was about to say that Hunt rhymes with C*, but you've beaten me to it ImpyCelyn Grin

I don't particularly like it. To me it would be like calling your child Weaver, Cooper or Forester. It's one of those old, job-description surnames really.

And it could be made to rhyme with something a bit unpleasant; not great for school.

I don't like it, but then it reminds me of hunts and I am anti-hunting.

gapants · 05/09/2011 09:28

like it, knew a Hunter too.

Hoto · 05/09/2011 09:27

shesparkles I agree sadly - kids love to make rhyming associations.

pinkyredrose · 05/09/2011 09:25

It's fab, one of my fave names actually for my future baby boy! Plus I love Hunter S Thompson!

shesparkles · 05/09/2011 09:25

I quite like it to be honest, but there could be the potential for a nasty nickname a few years down the line....

my friend called her boy Hunter, he was born earlier this year. :)

NervousAboutTheParty · 05/09/2011 09:19

I like it.
