We found out today that I'm having a boy! Already have a dd so we are very chuffed! Have lots of girls names but not really any boys.

I like Theo - dh hates it
Dh likes Jimmy - I dont like this

Would really like a strong name, open to all suggestions. Thanks

OP do you think it might be worth saying what you found hostile?? i really can't see it in this thread, people just seemed to be making suggestions on names which is what you asked. Have you miss read something maybe?

whizzyrocket · 24/08/2011 11:51

Count yourselves lucky- my dh suggested Horatio!

cremeeggsrock · 24/08/2011 08:27

Evan

harassedandherbug · 22/08/2011 09:29

Same as confused, was hoping to nick a few more ideas.......but all the hostility.....Wink.

My dh suggested Ronnie, but that's in the same camp as Jimmy and Vinnie imo. Gangsters! Either that or -gnomes- Ronnie Corbett.

I love Leo, Arlo, Lucas and Grey. He doesn't.

We both like Max, but doesn't go with our surname at all.

Dd has suggested Cyril.......

Confusedaboutname · 22/08/2011 08:45
Shock

I only came in to nick a boys name, you bunch of bitches how dare you suggest all those names Grin

cece · 21/08/2011 14:29

FWIW I like Jimmy. How about Jonny instead?

No hostility here though Hmm

Please don't venture into AIBU if you ever return!

TreacleChops · 21/08/2011 14:25

Well Lynette it wouldn't be my pick...and he won't be a baby forever!?! Grin

LynetteScavo · 21/08/2011 11:05

Gavin? Really?

scarlettlips · 20/08/2011 20:03

My goodness...hostility! I can't see what all the drama is about Hmm offers OP Wine

I was going to suggest:
Richard
Henry
John
James with nn Jimmy
Edward
Gavin
Matthew
Simon
Andrew
Mark
Jonathan
Daniel

IMO Theo isn't a 'strong' name, Theodore would be much better. {ducks just in case}

MeconiumHappens · 20/08/2011 12:50

Maybe need to find something that means 'son of oversensitive' in latin?
Hmm

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 18/08/2011 19:58

Hope you are right, Bandwithering. What a peculiar comment, otherwise.

Bandwithering · 18/08/2011 19:25

I think the OP must have had two threads open and commented on the wrong thread!

Giselle99 · 18/08/2011 19:07

Hostility? How very bizarre!

bigbluebump · 18/08/2011 12:00

What an odd thread - I honestly can't see any hostility here....

LaFawdna Grin - do you really know someone named this Grin.

Did some people expect him to have fur lockets? Wink

It's lovely actually.

OP- what's your DD's name, so we can avoid same initial letter, or completely non-matching names (e.g. LaFawnda and Tarquin)

And all you people above, hostilely making name suggestions- shame on you you big name helpers.

Fontsnob · 18/08/2011 11:44

How odd! What hostility?

Hostility??? Bizzarre...

All I can see is a load of people taking time out of their busy lives to offer a complete stranger helpful suggestions.

Oh well, as the saying goes, don't let the door....

LynetteScavo · 18/08/2011 11:27

Oh, were we all supposed to congratulate you on your pregnancy, and get excited that all wen't well at your scan, and get EXCITED that you are having a boy? Sorry. Confused

LynetteScavo · 18/08/2011 11:24

Eh, what hostility? Confused

If you think this is hostility, then maybe we are not the site for you.

Have a Brew

For what it's worth I like Jimmy, but would have James on the birth certificate.
