Silly question- could Katie be short for anything else besides Katherine/Caitlin?

I know this isn't a shortening, but one of dd1's friends is named Kate but always goes by Katie, which I like.

No-one has suggested Katrine, which is also nice, there's a Loch Katrine In Scotland which is beautiful.
