Inspiration is desparately needed if these boys aren't to be called Twin 1 and Twin 2 for the rest of their lives. They will have an older sister called Amelia. I can think of any number of girls' names but can't seem to come up with any boys' ones.

My dgs is Edward and called Ted or Teddy as nn though he often gets the full name too.His big brother is Finn.

wheresthepimms · 27/07/2011 18:06

Do wonder if I will have any method of punishing them when they get drunk together on it as teenagers and say "well mum you did call us Jack Daniel" so we had to try it Grin

It was a genuine mistake wish we had had MN to show me the error of my waysGrin

vividgingerchilli · 27/07/2011 16:42

I know of somebody (an adult) who is actually called Jack Daniels. Poor man.

pinkgirlythoughts · 27/07/2011 16:24

My son and his cousin (born 4 months apart) are Frederick and Theodore, known as Freddie and Theo!

I work with a woman who has a Frederick and Charles (Freddie and Charlie), and another who has a Frederick and Matthew (Freddie and Matti). All good pairings, IMO!

I also like:
Harry and Alfie
William and George
Max and Teddy

or any combination of those!

AnneMcAuley35 · 27/07/2011 15:18

Good luck with that tricky :)

Anne, if you do have any success in talking your DH round to Theo, please let me know- I'm having exactly the same problem here Grin

Quenelle · 27/07/2011 13:50

That's ok. I'll keep them for myself Smile

Sounds like it should be Freddie and Laurie then!

AnneMcAuley35 · 27/07/2011 13:45

Tricky I do like Freddie and Theo. DH not keen on Theo:(

Quenelle thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure about Eric and Louis.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions, I'm starting to feel much more hopeful now that I'll manage to pick 2 names. Eldritch - I hadn't thought of Laurie for Laurence, its much nicer than Larry. And reminds me of the character from Little Women.

Quenelle · 27/07/2011 13:36

I like Eric.

Eric and Louis?

TrickyBiscuits · 27/07/2011 13:25

I think Freddie (Frederick) and Theo (Theodore) are lovely and work really nicely together Smile

EldritchCleavage · 27/07/2011 13:20

Laurence can be Laurie, though-needn't be Larry.

My nephew's best friends are twins called Teddy and Davis, which I think is a very nice combination.

I like Gilbert (can be shortened to Gil, or Bert/ie), Arthur, and Edwin too.

Shinyshoes1 · 27/07/2011 13:18

oh oh oh oh oh oh

Going back to when I was pregnant with DD , I wantsed Santa if it were a boy (scandinavian origin I think)
Then the other day someone had posted Winter as a name the day.

Winter and Santa !!!! I LOVE IT !!

wheresthepimms · 27/07/2011 13:16

Fimbo you have me worried now Grin I could really give it away and say my Jack is not a Jack but a Jacques then you will know me. Mmmm must now go check if I have insulted you on any threads hehehe

Shinyshoes1 · 27/07/2011 13:13

Rueben and Sebastian

Shinyshoes1 · 27/07/2011 13:12

Bailey and Taylor

ThePetiteMummy · 27/07/2011 13:11

There's a twin at dd's toddler group called Eric, I think it's a great name! (Can't remember what his brother's called I'm afraid!)

Fimbo · 27/07/2011 13:11

I know someone with a Jack then a Daniel, so wheresthepimms if you are Sarah, hello I know you!!! Grin

Harry & Johnny

Shinyshoes1 · 27/07/2011 13:09

Eli and Brody

Austen and Wyatt

Tristan and Cooper

LieInsAreRarerThanTigers · 27/07/2011 13:08

There are loads of twins called William and Oliver. I remember it being said on a thread before, one person knew three sets, and I know a set myself!

Shinyshoes1 · 27/07/2011 13:05

Ronnie and Reggie Grin

I have a Charlie and Alfie

BehindLockNumberNine · 27/07/2011 12:59

Ann, I refuse to call my Oliver Ollie. His mates do, and that is fine, but to me he is Oliver Grin

Dd is Emily and is forever being called Ems (or even worse, Emsy) by her friends.

I think any name is going to have a nickname or abbreviation, but that does not mean you have to use it Smile

Congrats on the twin btw, how exciting!!

AnneMcAuley35 · 27/07/2011 12:22

Ha ha, thats so funny about Jack Daniels - brilliant!!
Fred is nice as well as Freddie.

Honeyduke - I like Laurence, but not its abbreviation Larry. Thanks
Thanks for the suggestions ellan:)

Louis
Seb (Sebastian)
Tobin
Thomas

Congrats on the twins- so exciting for you!

wheresthepimms · 27/07/2011 11:53

just another note of caution remember products have names too, it wasn't until after we named DS2 that someone pointed out we have a Jack followed by Daniel and if we had another would we call it coke Grin

I like George and William
Fred and Charlie
Alex and Nathaniel

obviously can't have Fred and George (Harry Potter)
