Tessa to Florence, she is 9 months.

I always wanted Florence but let other people put me during my pregnancy. Ended up with Tessa becuase I liked the nickname Tessa.

DH is worried about what other people will think.

Any opinions/experiences/advice greatly appreciated.

Tessa nn Tess is a beautiful name, Florence is currently very 'on trend' I feel, and will quickly date, leave her as she isSmile

I no it's the same sorry if this sounds rude

I had a cat that I recused thought it was a girl so called it lily. I have a big family and they are always over.

We then discovered it was a boy, after 7 months. So name changed to Barry.

It only took about a month to get the family on side to name change he sadly died at a year old.

It's really possible to name change, and did it as long as your dp is happy.

Ohh and don't worry what people think, she's your child.

And it won't take long for her to get used to.

I think it is too late to change her name. I'd find it a bit odd if someone did this.

I like the name Tessa but if you do want to change it, it's not too late. The brother of a good friend of mine change his name at 23 years old! He turned over a new leaf, having been a bit of a waster up till then, and decided to use his middle name rather than his first name. It took a bit of getting used to (and he did tell his parents that he didn't mind them using his first name, just that he would be known by his second name elsewhere) but now everyone uses his second name and we think no more of it. It took a while to remember, but you get there!

Mucky, I had a rabbit called Jessica, when we bought her a friend, Ginger, we found out Jessica was actually a boy & changed his name to Fred Grin However, I think changing the name of a baby is a bit different!
