we are not now going to have a boy (2 DDs, which is fab), but we were going to call any son Aoghan (ay-gon) - Irish name meaning 'little fire'. You can spell it Aogan too. Loved it, sorry we can't use it

I love this thread! Am currently 28 weeks pregnant with with a little girl and I want a pretty, uncommon, but not invented name. I wonder if I'll find one here!

Chiara, it's actually dd's middle name so not sure it counts. I wish I'd had the nerve to use it for her first name.

I'm not allowed anything from Lord of the Rings despite putting these repeatedly on the baby name lists:

Aragorn
Strider
Theoden
Peregrine
Merry
Arwen

tigana I had an great-aunt who insisted on calling herself Myfanwy - I think her actual name was Marion. She was a kleptomaniac...

this is fun!
