How about you take the first part of the baby's dad's name and the second part of your name?

controlpantsandgladrags · 20/07/2011 13:26

Maddex is pronounced Madd ex in my head. Presumably you're pronouncing it the same as Maddox but spelled wrong?

OriginalPoster · 20/07/2011 13:25

I don't normally say this, but neither. Is it for a girl or boy? Have you considered using them as middle names?

Oh, you see, I'm South African and I never thought of the chavvy thing. Ahh, I think I get it now! It is a bit.

But they're different and unique don't you think? A change from the norm or should I say the Yawn!

So we like Max, but Maddex does sound like a painkiller.
How about Madmax?

WhipMeIndiana · 20/07/2011 13:23

max - lovely
maddox - bit chavvy
maddex is like a painkiller

allhailtheaubergine · 20/07/2011 13:23

It sounds like a parcel delivery service.

Or depression medication.

I personally think the pronunciation is better don't you?

OP posts:
suzikettles · 20/07/2011 13:21

It sounds industrial somehow. A cleaner? Solvent?

coccyx · 20/07/2011 13:20

both ridiculous, awful and too contrived

HoneyPablo · 20/07/2011 13:19

Better? In what way?

Noleen · 20/07/2011 13:17

No, Maddex. It's a better version of Maddox I think

Agree with Belle

HoneyPablo · 20/07/2011 13:16

I quite like Maxdex

allhailtheaubergine · 20/07/2011 13:16

I keep seeing Maddex in Baby Names.

Surely you mean Maddox?

BelleEnd · 20/07/2011 13:15

I prefer 'or'

PfftTheMagicDragonhideGloves · 20/07/2011 13:14

It's a name mash-up! A RL version of Glee!

I prefer Samous and Thomuel
