how many sophia's do you know?

I have always liked the name but I just hate that there are so many...

can you suggest something like it? does popularity put you off too? or should i just stick to what I like...hmmmm

in my office are at least 15 (big office) and I know quite a few more other sophie/sophia in all age groups. how about other versions of that name like sonia?

2, both about 4 although one is a Sofia.

Much prefer Sophie myself. THey will always be asked if it is Soph-ee - a or Soph- eye - a.

there is one in Ds's class who is 6, I know of 2 toddler Sophia's (friends of friends) and one baby one.....

I much prefer Sophie.

I know one little Sophie, but Sophia is even more of a hard name to live up to, as I believe it is the correct pronunciation of the greek word.

I have a Sophia, and she's fab! Grin I don't know any other Sophias, but know 3 Sophie's.

I've heard that it can be pronounced 'soph-eye-a' rather than 'soph-ee-a' so that could make it a wee bit different if you fancied? (Although my DM pronounces it 'sophie-a' despite being corrected a million times! Hmm)

I have one (almost a year old) but I don't know any others. Sophie certainly seems more popular. Sophia is a little different and just beautiful :)

I've only ever met one, she's in her 30s. Sophie used to be very popular when I was young, but don't seem to meet so many now.
