giving birth on Monday. The bump was called Molly from the start by my ds even before we knew it was a girl. The name has now grown on us but would like suggestions for a second name. We thought Molly Catherine but not so sure now. Thinking Molly Emily but is that too many y's?
Help!!

My DD2 is Molly Mae.

Molly can be short for Mary, which would fit better with a formal middle name and you could use Molly as nickname. Mary Elizabeth, Mary Beatrice etc.

I think you need a longer more 'solid' name to go with Molly as Molly is quite nickname like imo. Molly Emily has too many Ys imo. I think Molly Ann(e) is quite popular so perhaps something different. I really like Molly Catherine, also

Molly Elizabeth
Molly Louisa
Molly Rachael
Molly Amelia
Molly Frances
Molly Beatrice

I think middle names should mean something though, the name of a family member etc

DD is Molly. We considered Molly Rose but went with Molly Mary.

Molly Kate is pretty

I'd go for a longer and more formal middle name to go with Molly, a few suggestions for you:

Molly Alexandra
Molly Beatrice
Molly Eleanor
Molly Elizabeth
Molly Georgina
Molly Helena
Molly Isabelle
Molly Jemima
Molly Ophelia
Molly Paloma
Molly Rebecca
Molly Seraphina
Molly Valentina
Molly Victoria

Molly Beth is lovely

Molly Rae
Molly Sienna
Molly Jo
Molly rose

SloganLogan · 25/06/2011 20:17

Molly is quite nicknamey/informal so I'd go for a similar style of middle name, or at least a short-ish name. Catherine is too much of a contrast - it's long and quite "formal".

Molly Kate
Molly Jane
Molly Beth
Molly Tess

how very strange my dc2 called my bump molly too and we kinda got used to it. We went for molly anne in the end

Youremindmeofthebean · 25/06/2011 19:00

Molly Catherine is nice.
Think Molly Emily is a bit y'y

Molly Luisa?
Molly Rosa
Molly Emilia?

I've got a Spanish theme there haven't I? Unintentional.

Molly Cate
