Please would you give me your feedback on these names? Or even suggest other names along the same lines? Thanks!

Oh just read your second post OP.

Tobin?

IvyAndGold · 23/06/2011 12:06

oh i love all those name, DP went and vetoed them all! Angry tobias is my favourite, but will most likely get shortened to toby at school etc.

ensure · 23/06/2011 11:02

Oh I do like Miles. Put it back on the list!

CulturallySophisticated · 22/06/2011 22:30

Personally only like Tobius out of that lot, but I like that one a lot!! xx

wertax · 22/06/2011 22:26

I like Theo. I don't fancy Miles or Reuben.

I like Tobias, but I like Tobian better. I like Toby too.

Of the other names mentioned I like:
Corin
Lucas
Caleb

WhipMeIndiana · 22/06/2011 20:54

Elijah

emsies · 22/06/2011 20:53

Christian too - and would love to shorten it to Theo as a nickname but the thought of calling out "God, God" across a playground/ supermarket is getting to me! LOve the name though :)

PanicMode · 22/06/2011 13:20

Emsies - if you used Theodore then it's 'gift from God' which is rather a lovely meaning I think (but then I'm biased being Christian and the mother of a Theodore!)

emsies · 21/06/2011 18:41

We really like Theo and have thought of it for our next child but I have issues with it meaning "God"!

Tobias would definitely have to go to a private school...

I know quite a few Reubens which I quite like but wouldn't choose. Elliot is lovely :)

Artichokes · 20/06/2011 21:26

I love Reuben. Theo is exceptionally popular at the moment and that would but me off, but I like the name. Not keen on Tobias as I do not like Toby.

What about Elias? Its a nice Old Testament name like Reuben but more unusual. I love it. Lucas is also nice.

WhipMeIndiana · 20/06/2011 21:21

Crispian
Crispin
Cassion

WhipMeIndiana · 20/06/2011 21:20

Theo and Hugo my faves, I love Miles too

LittleMissFlustered · 20/06/2011 21:16

I know a Tobias and he's a fabulous chap. Very cheeky, and not Toby at all:D

IndigoBell · 20/06/2011 16:26

Don't like Miles

Like Toby - but not Tobias

And like Reuben

Also
Gabriel
Jonah
Caleb

bigbluebump · 20/06/2011 11:34

But I do like Arlo, Corin, Fraser and Fergus very much.

bigbluebump · 20/06/2011 11:34

This is Milo en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milo_(drink)

minipie · 20/06/2011 11:32

How about Milo instead of Miles?

Out of your list, I'd go for Tobias (but I'd probably just call him Toby)

Others that might fit the bill:

Max
Nathaniel (Nat/Nate)
Arlo
Corin
Bryn
Fraser
Fergus
Lucas
Leon
Gabriel

bigbluebump · 20/06/2011 11:28

All very 'trendy' names especially Theo and Toby. I would probably chose Ruben as it isn't as widely used already. Miles I'm not keen on, sorry.

There are loads of Theos - we have a 7 year old Theodore (Theo) but since he was born, there seem to have been an explosion of them - possibly due to Theo Walcott?! Although the football element seem to call theirs 'Feeeo' Grin.

Anyway, am slightly disappointed that when we chose it, he was 'rare' and everyone commented on what a great, unusual name it is - now there are lots of them.

My DD (6) has a Miles, Tobias and Reuben in her class - they're all a bit of the moment tbh.

qwerty123 · 20/06/2011 00:18

Hmmm...I am seeing that Miles is not well liked, so that's coming off the list!
