As lond as it is short for Ludovic I like it as a nickname. Seems a bit odd if it is the name in itself though.

I wonder if we're thinking of the same one FakePlasticTrees, as there don't seem to many of 'em about. Last name starting with S?

I like Ludovic, and ludo is nice for short, but don't think it is like Bruno at all, I think that is a cartoon like name.

Ludovic is very posh, in my opinion.

Popbiscuit · 07/06/2011 21:43

I think Rachel Johnson has a son called Ludo?

FakePlasticTrees · 07/06/2011 21:39

I know a Ludo, he's lovely. And married to someone lovely. And has a very successful (and well paid) career.

Mollydoggerson · 07/06/2011 21:37

I like it, similar to Bruno, very strong name.

kitsmummy · 07/06/2011 21:36

Ben Fogle has a Ludo, I quite like it

SoupDragon · 07/06/2011 21:33

I know of two - one well-known in the theatre world and the other a city high-flier with aristocratic connections.

It is perhaps a name better reserved for animals however.

I think it's a very posho shortening of Ludovic, but I like it.

I also know a lovely dog called Ludo

MaryBS · 07/06/2011 21:04

I've heard of it as a name, but wouldn't use it, because its more commonly used to describe the board game.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 07/06/2011 21:03

As short for Ludovic, I've heard of it. Reminds me of Ludovic Kennedy, the broadcaster chappie. Not to my taste, but if you like it, what the heck...

kalo12 · 07/06/2011 21:01

Ludovic I like it alot

Yes, a game but also a boy's name. Is it so unusual that people genuinely haven't heard it?

Karbea · 07/06/2011 20:41

It's a game isn't it?

2cats2many · 07/06/2011 20:40

It's ok. I can see it working.
