Any thoughts/associations? Please and thank you. DH loves it, but I think it's thanks to Una from The Saturdays!
Middle name would be Primrose, which I know isn't to everyone's taste but we love it.
Thanks x

Fab.

BelleEnd · 12/06/2011 21:41

It's my grandmother's name, though she has always pronounced it You-Na. I love it.

stardustn · 12/06/2011 13:59

Thinking of Una Stubbs isn't showing your age- I'm 19 and that was my first thought!

The name isn't to my taste but it's ok, I do like Primrose as a middle name though :)

WriterofDreams · 08/06/2011 16:18

It's OOna.

KateMiddletonsEyebrows · 08/06/2011 16:11

I prefer the Oonagh spelling. The only one I know was a deeply stylish and beautiful girl, so it has positive connotations for me.

going · 08/06/2011 16:10

Makes me think of Per Una.

Love Primrose.

NadiaWadia · 08/06/2011 16:09

Is it pronounced OOna or Yoona ? I'd read it as Yoona, but seems like maybe that's wrong?

SloganLogan · 07/06/2011 16:58

Stubbs

JanMorrow · 07/06/2011 12:35

you're being unareasonable constant

constantlywrong · 07/06/2011 11:43

Seriously snorting coffee on my keyboard at Unabomber.

franke · 07/06/2011 11:43

Prefer Una to Oona.

Also thought of Una Stubbs, but nowt wrong with that Smile

I like it.

emmanumber3 · 07/06/2011 11:40

Another one who thought "as in Una Stubbs?" - sorry Blush.

I don't like it I'm afraid but I do love Primrose as a middle name - very pretty Grin.

JanMorrow · 07/06/2011 11:37

Loads of Unas from around my way (Ireland) so it's not unusual (excuse the pun) at all! Not my fave though I have to say!

PurveyorOfBaloney · 07/06/2011 11:33

Not so keen on Una (Per Una anyone?). However I do like Ida, and even Uma

missrabbitsshoeshop · 07/06/2011 11:32

Thanks, any more?!

I know an Irish child called Una. Always thought it was lovely.

missrabbitsshoeshop · 07/06/2011 08:47

Thank you everyone. It is growing on me more and more!

Una is one of my favourite names and Primrose is lovely,

Have only met one Una, and she was tall blonde and drop dead gorgeous, and just to top it off really nice so couldn't even hate her!

Una Primrose sounds great Smile

stleger · 06/06/2011 23:11

My dh has a financial assistant called Oonagh, who can't do sums. I also know an 18 year old Una, who was named after someone in the Faerie Queene.

WriterofDreams · 06/06/2011 22:45

Una is an Irish name. In Ireland it's considered a very very drab name, along the lines of Mildred or Gertrude. It used to be fairly common but now it's considered old fashioned. But here I suppose it is somewhat unusual so it works better :)

missrabbitsshoeshop · 06/06/2011 22:03

Sounds fab Pops! It is stuck in my head already!
MyCat I like that spelling, but surname is 4 letters starting with 'O'! Thanks.

My best friend at school was Oona. Love that name. Suits her as an adult too - very stylish and sophisticated (or maybe that's just her Grin)
