It's pronounced Gillan or at least the one I know pronounces it like that.

bibbitybobbityhat · 03/06/2011 16:01

Gorgeous.

Good lord, no.

PhishFoodAddiction · 03/06/2011 15:43

I'm not convinced. Is it a Gizz sound at the beginning or Jizz? Either way it's a harsh sounding name. Sorry.

pilates · 03/06/2011 14:52

and its a no from me

Suncottage · 03/06/2011 14:32

Really don't like it. Sorry.

SloganLogan · 03/06/2011 14:30

It's a no from me too I'm afraid.

saidthespiderwithahorridsmile · 03/06/2011 13:28

Um.

Is it pronounced "Giz" as in Gizzard?

Or is it "Jizz" as in, er, jizz?

Not a flier. IMO.

TabithaTwitchet · 03/06/2011 13:26

I'm afraid I don't think it looks very pretty written down. In fact don't like the sound of the first syllable either.
Seems to me like the sort of name that could be tricky to carry off.

ViolaTricolor · 03/06/2011 13:06

It will always remind me of Robert Maxwell's yacht, Lady Ghislaine, though others may not retain that so vividly.
