When pregnant, I became obsessed with Ceinwein. Love it. And Ffion.

A bit off subject, Arwen is also beautiful I think. It's not Welsh but Elvish from LOTR, which is said to be heavily influenced by the Welsh language.

I had a sister called Ceridwen- Ceri for short which is much easier to say. I love Sioned, Sian, Seren and Tirion.

I love Siwan. Wanted it for DD but her surname starts with a K and I got into a tizzy about having the word 'wank' in the middle of her name!

Was I being daft?

I have a Seren, I'm Welsh, DH English and we live in England. If DS had been a girl he'd have been either Anwen or Ariana, all pretty easy to pronounce.

My name is Cerian, pronounced kerry ann, from the welsh word cariad. It is hard for english people to say though and i often get called kieran :(

I wanted to call our DD Seiriol until one of my welsh relatives pointed out it was more commonly a boy's name. Still like it though.

Some more to add:

Mabli
Cariad (love love this)

WowOoo · 03/06/2011 20:49

I know a little girl called Mali. Not sure about the dogs name connection. Some of her English friends call her Ma -li as in the country
I love Ffion, Seren, Menna (my lovely gran).

I am Welsh, but think some are horrible to say and spell -Angharad and Myfanwy. (perhaps as I knew girls who were picked on because of their names Sad)
