I love names like Lucas, Micah, Noah, Seth, Saul, Cassian, Balthazar...but I am struggling to find 'the one' for DC3. Girls names are sorted but I have 2 DS's (with biblical/Hebrew names) so am thinking it's more than likely this one will be my hat trick baby so I really need to find a name! Please help me with lots of suggestions!

I'm surprised Kenaniah, Lazarus and Nebuchadnezzar haven't been mentioned yet.

It wasn't as popular 4 years ago when we chose it... I just loved the name and still do.Maybe no.3 is a girl and my subconscious isn't bothering with boys names Smile

It's not Ass-a. It's ACE-uh, or Ay-SUH. At least here it is.

Jamie DH actually thinks it's okay as a name! I might get to use it someday. :) FIL is James and I think Asa James has a snappy ring to it.

Bump there are a lot of names that are just seen as "names" now and not necessarily biblical- Aaron, Matthew, etc. Good luck!

HengshanRoad · 28/05/2011 15:36

Asa is awful. Ass-a.

BumpPlus2 · 28/05/2011 14:33

insertcleverusernamehere you may - Noah Isaac and Casper Jack.
I am looking for a name that fits in with the 'big brothers' whilst being individual on it's own - I am also (reading this thread) thinking maybe it may be Bible overkill to go for another Biblical name (although Casper is not automatically recognised as Biblical) and may be looking outside of my original criteria now Grin

Cheerful. I was very sad that Asa was vetoed for both my DSs. I still like it, but I don't tend to meet many other people who agree

CheerfulYank · 28/05/2011 04:58

I really love Asa, and thing Ace is a cool nn. :)

Caleb and Gideon are nice; I know a darling little Abraham called Abe. Ezra, Phineas...Josiah is popular here?

If you're not keen on Gabe, you could go with Adriel. It's got kind of the same sound as Gabriel?

My favourite is Jonah, though my Ds is Reuben!

BumpPlus2 · 27/05/2011 16:20

Thanks Isla 77 but as we have no girls it has been a lot easier to choose names for that eventuality! Girls sorted....boys getting there! Wink
