WDYT of Peyton for a girl? Has been growing on me lately.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

my niece (aged 10) has this name. It's lovely, IMO and no teasing or anything else I'm aware of.

mathanxiety · 25/05/2011 15:14

Lulabellarama, can you link? I can never find anything on Netmums

KoolAidKid · 25/05/2011 00:03

Ooooo bad name. I know of a girl called Peyton. She has a sister called Pagan Hmm

5DollarShake · 24/05/2011 22:40

My cousin has a Payton (girl). Yes, very Netmums. Grin

BlackSwan · 24/05/2011 20:24

I like it.

MeantToStopAtTwo · 24/05/2011 12:34

I do know of one actually but she is American, which makes it slightly more excusable.

Hideous

nonononnonononono

shoobidoo · 24/05/2011 09:41

I've not heard it before. Sounds a little masculine perhaps.

ShoutyHamster · 24/05/2011 09:22

No no no

MeantToStopAtTwo · 23/05/2011 21:17

Reminds me of Paige too. And of Courtney. It's one of 'those' names.

FessaEst · 23/05/2011 17:43

Netto beat me to it, I immediately thought of that film - not a good association I'm afraid!

mathanxiety · 23/05/2011 17:39

Though I sort of like Presley for a girl.

mathanxiety · 23/05/2011 17:38

Yuck. And yes, it reminds me of Paige too.

NettoSuperstar · 23/05/2011 17:38

Horrid, reminds me of the nanny in 'The hand that rocks the cradle'.

virginiasmonalogue · 23/05/2011 17:36

I really like it, but thought it was Payton?

Pancakeflipper · 23/05/2011 17:35

No. I love the novel Peyton Place but it sounds a little chav to my ears as a name.

DELHI · 23/05/2011 17:30

Have to agree with the general consensus. Reminds me of Paige - another awful name IMO

LetThereBeRock · 23/05/2011 16:30

It's a ghastly name.

I know a boy Peyton. Not my cup of tea personally, but it's your child. If you like it enough go for it.

TBH, I didn't like the name we used for DD that much to start with and it grew on me. Once she was born, there was no better name for her.

EricNorthmansMistress · 23/05/2011 16:17

Like in One Tree Hill? Ugh. It's a surname. Surnames as first names are bad enough for boys but awful for girls.

pinkhebe · 23/05/2011 14:42

wasn't she a character in 'one tree hill'?

daisybear · 23/05/2011 14:41

personally think its awful....sorry!
