Honor and ???

What do you all think...?? Suggestions and comments welcome.

DD is Honor:

Girls
Beatrice [Bibi] Know it's very popular but it was my granny's name, and I've always loved it.
Iona,
Charlotte,
Claudia - know the meaning but still think it's lovely and very underused
Eliza
Alice
Marina
Darcey
Violet - Will this date?
Cosima
Katherine [Kit]
and
India [Indy] Yes I know it's already been done, but I just love nn Indy!

Boys: Charlie, Hugh, Arthur, Kit, Henry, Alexander, George, Tristan and Thomas..

DH and I can't agree on a boys name. Also our girls names are a bit more 'arty' than the boys which are quite classic. I have suggested Orlando, Noah, Jude and Rupert but DH veto them and therefore they have gone on the 'Dog' list...Blush Sad

TIA Smile

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Of your girl's names I think Eliza and India sound best with Honor. (Maybe Violet works too)
Boy's names - Kit or Alexander probably best. (I don't think you can use an H name, because it makes you trip on the no H in Honor IYSWIM?).

Other thoughts
Honor and Tess/Clara/Jessamy
Honor and Benedict/Otis/Tobias

Honor is a lovely name btw.

Thanks tiredgranny but I'm not really keen on names like Faith, Charity and Harmony etc etc IMO are a bit chavvy. Also a friend had an ex called Faith and she was a total fruit-loop so even if I did like it, i've been put off!

Any other suggestions or views on the names I listed?? Smile

Lancelot...Outstanding thank you BikeRunSki adding it too the dog list Grin
Hope isn't really my cup of tea, do quite like Verity.

RickGhastley why thank you Grin I agree with you on Cosima, I'm not sure on it either. Love Gabriel but DH isn't keen..booo. Nathaniel (Nate) is lovely however not sure it will go with our surname.

Lost of lovely names there!

I like Beatrice, Iona and Violet best from the girls' names, and Henry, Alexander, George and Tristan from the boys' list.

You have marvellous taste in names, I love all your girl's names bar Cosima!

I think it would be great to name a DD after your granny - and I'm not sure that Beatrice is that popular. Bibi is certainly not a common name, it's a lovely nn.

Boys I like Kit best but only because I'm not big on traditional popular boys names. If you want something more "arty" how about these for the dog list!

Isaac
Joel
Lucien
Lucas
Quinn
Emil
Elijah (Eli)
Ivan
Gabriel (gabe)
Ezra
Jake (Jacob)
Zachary (Zak)
Nathaniel (Nate)

What about 'Obey'? Sorry sorry couldn't resist!!

emmanumber3 · 20/05/2011 21:52

Grin at putting vetoed names on the "dog list".

I love Kit for a boy - sounds really cool, and out of your list for a Girl - India. Fabulous name, it's on my list for our DD due in August but DH is unconvinced Hmm.
