Violet. I quite dislike a lot of the others, tbh. Especially the vowel-heavy ones.

sonniebonnie · 14/05/2011 16:34

Why do you care what OUR favourites are, isn't it more important that you choose YOUR favourite name for your dd. We (thankfully) all have different tastes Smile.

My dd has one of your suggested names, by the way, and I like most of the other names too, but the main thing surely is that YOU love the name you choose for your dd.

scarlettsmummy2 · 14/05/2011 16:25

Imogen and Matilda are my favourites.

TwoIfBySea · 14/05/2011 15:31

Amelie - lovely, friendly name
Annabel - reminds me a bit of an old auntie name
Betsy - see above
Bonnie - Langford, not a good association
Eliza - not ready for a revival yet
Elodie - cheerful
Imogen - my friend's daughter's name so a favourite
Jemima - despite the link with Khan I do still like this
Lydia - another friendly name
Matilda - what one of my dts would have been named if had been a dtd instead
Ophelia - very classical but would need to have a strong personality to carry off
Ottilie - another French favourite!
Tahlia - ok but a bit California surf
Violet - this is what I'd have been if my dad had gotten his way with names!

So that is my very humble opinion but really it is up to you and what suits the surname etc.

K999 · 14/05/2011 15:29

You said "be brutal" so I will.

I don't like any of them. At a push.....Amelie
