We need a name to go with Heidi for twins

We have dd1 - Lydia

We've decided What one of our dtds will be but the second baby's name is not so clear. At the moment we love Heidi and are quite keen on Alice but that one might change. What are people's thoughts on the combination, any other ideas (needs to include Heidi as dh is delighted I actually like a name he likes!).

I want them to have different, not matching names.

Thanks x

Lydia, Heidi & Alice really works.

Jojay · 16/05/2011 12:41

I think Heidi and Alice are perfect - don't look any further!

Not Clara! That's like having twins Charlie and Lola.

What about Eliza, Emily, Violet, I like Nina too, or, hmm, Fiona, Bronwen, Iris, Vanessa, Maeve, Rowan, Rosa, Penelope.

ChuckYouFarlie · 13/05/2011 00:14

Ooh yes, Nina

triskaidekaphile · 13/05/2011 00:12

Heidi and Lois
Nina and Heidi
Heidi and Rosa

ChuckYouFarlie · 13/05/2011 00:08

For sibling names Clara and Lotte and similar swiss miss names are NOT a good idea, it's too chocolate box Swiss and becomes a bit of a joke with Heidi. Don't do it.

Heidi and something sensibly English works much better. Emelene is on the right track with Holly, as is Mary, Sophie, Pippa (that's a pippi longstocking reference, not a royal bandwagon being jumped on)

wudu · 12/05/2011 23:31

Heidi and Emily
Heidi and Beatrice
Heidi and Rosanne/Rosie
Heidi and Chloe
Heidi and Maisie
Heidi and Eliza

Emelene · 12/05/2011 23:24

I think Holly and Heidi would be cute. :)

I was going to suggest Clara - but I think that's because I'm swayed by the tv programme/book from when I was little.

Fimbo · 12/05/2011 17:47

Heidi and Luisa

"She was the other girl in the Heidi book, the one that lived in the city" in the wheelchair ..... how I wish I could push my dd's wheelchair up the Alm and cure her.... (That's why I wouldn't choose Clara)

speakercorner · 12/05/2011 15:05

Heidi and Alice is lovely. Heidi and Clara is too cutesy. Heidi and Phoebe is nice.

LunaticIsOnTheGrass · 12/05/2011 15:05

I came to say Clara as well but have been totally pipped to the post.

She was the other girl in the Heidi book, the one that lived in the city.

wentshopping · 12/05/2011 15:01

Not Clara! She's the other girl in the Heidi story! (Or is it the name of the mean aunt?...) Anyway, someone is bound to give you that book at some stage....
Charlotte sounds lovely. As mother to a Phoebe, it is amazing how many people can't get the vowels in the right order, so you might be forever spelling out Heidi and Phoebe.

TimeWasting · 12/05/2011 14:55

I think Heidi and Alice derive from the same name, but it's a nice combo.

Ooh yes, I love Clara! That goes beautifully.

Charlotte's lovely too, Lottie.
