Middle name will probably be Alice or Elizabeth.

What do you think?

I have a Heidi and she is lovey, I love the name!!!

KirstyJC · 12/05/2011 21:08

Definitely Kirsty!!

I don't get called Kirst very often; few people abbreviate it. I am also one of the few people I know who actually likes their own name.

Although I do like Heidi too Smile.

Jojay · 12/05/2011 21:01

Ooooh, PrincessScrumpy, I'm having twins too! But they're boy/girl, so we're only after one girls name. Boys names are another thread altogether! When are you due? I'm 27+6.

Anyway, I digress.....

I'm not keen on Kirsten, so it would be Kirsty, or Kirstie - can't decide on the spelling Grin

But I still like Heidi, and it's DH's preferred option. Ho hum.......

I love Kirsty.

minipie · 12/05/2011 19:21

Kirsty absolutely. Heidi just makes me think dirndls and plaits.

Joggingqueen · 12/05/2011 19:19

I like both but would go with Kirstie as i am one, I really love the spelling too, im all but 28 and have only met or known of about 3/4 others with the same spelling.

Let us know!

pickyourbrain · 12/05/2011 18:57

I don't particularly like Heidi (looks a bit masculine..) but I dislike all names ending in Y. It is my belief that no woman with a Y as the last letter of their name can be taken seriously...

mathanxiety · 12/05/2011 18:50

Kirsty. Heidi sounds dumpy and plain to me. Kirsty has a nice Scottish or Scandinavian ring to it.

evamummy · 12/05/2011 14:16

I really dislike Heidi. In German yes (pronounced High-dee), but in English I'm not keen.

Kirsty is cute and Kirsten works well in most languages.

FoxyRevenger · 12/05/2011 14:10

Kirsty is lovely. I would maybe have used it except it's the name of my fantastically irritating colleague's daughter too and she would have used it as a way for us to... bond

Ugh.

oohlaalaa · 12/05/2011 14:05

Love the name Kirsty, I also love Kirsten.

PrincessScrumpy · 12/05/2011 12:52

Haha, I've just started a thread about names for my id twins and my favourites so far ar Heidi and Alice. I love Elizabeth too, I've had to rule it out as it's my sister's name who died when we were young so my parents would struggle. you have great taste. Kirsty isn't grabbing me but I don't hate it.

Cutiecat · 11/05/2011 23:39

Heidi gets my vote. Don't like Kirsten at all. Sorry.

peeriebear · 11/05/2011 22:34

I am a kirsty also :) I get called Kir a lot, which is fine by me. I like Heidi though.

hellojude · 11/05/2011 22:30

Kirsty....by a mile.

Heidi is IMO horrid.

Alice and Elizabeth are just lovely agree with sleepingsowell can't you use those as a first name?

simpson · 11/05/2011 21:57

Heidi Elizabeth definately.

If I had had another DD (which I won't) Heidi would be the name I would choose, I love it Grin Grin

KenDoddsDadsDog · 11/05/2011 19:22

I'm a Kirsti (Norwegian spelling) and never get Kirst. Only know one other.

Jojay · 11/05/2011 19:19

I love Alice particularly too, but DH has vetoed it.

Thanks for your views - it looks to be about 50/50!

Agree with sleepingsowell.

sleepingsowell · 11/05/2011 15:57

Alice and Elizabeth are such gorgeous names, why not have one of those as a first name! They outclass Kirsty and Heidi by a long long way!!

megbess · 11/05/2011 15:49

dont love either but heidi at a push.

Whitershadeofpale · 11/05/2011 12:59

I'm a Kirsty (well Kirsty-Anne) and just to say that you do find lots of people calling you Kirst, which I hate.

silverfrog · 11/05/2011 12:22

oh, Heidi, definitely.

Don't like Kirsty, sorry.

But Heidi I love (and dh vetoed it Angry)

highlystrung · 11/05/2011 12:16

Heidi definitely

daimbardiva · 11/05/2011 09:57

Kirsty - love it. Not a Heidi fan I'm afraid
