Middle name will probably be Alice or Elizabeth.

What do you think?

Don't like Heidi at all, sounds very old-fashioned and not in a good way. "Pigtails, milk buckets and clogs" sums it up nicely! :o

Also makes me think of hidey-hole.

PeterSpanswick · 25/05/2011 20:29

Kirsty is the best name in the world Grin especially when followed by Elizabeth.

elfandsafeT · 25/05/2011 17:47

I was christened Kirsten, but always called Kirstie. Much prefer this spelling, but it always get spelled Kirsty so i have to spell it out every time. Wish my parents had stuck with Kirsten overall.

ensure · 25/05/2011 17:33

I think Heidi is too popular where I live but maybe that is very localized?

Asinine · 25/05/2011 17:28

Kirsty
If we have a 'mistake' dc5 girl she would be Kirsty...

Bathsheba · 25/05/2011 17:22

I have a Kirsty....

She is Kirsty Louise but we often call her Kirsty-Lou, or indeed Lulu...

AppleyEverAfter · 25/05/2011 14:38

Heidi!

I like Kirsten though...

moodyblues · 25/05/2011 10:40

I adore Heidi, would have it myself if there was any chance of producing a girl!

Love Dominic too.

Kirstle · 25/05/2011 10:34

I am also a Kirsty, just turned thirty and hopefully will be discussing baby names with you all soon!

I love the name Kirsty, I was going to be either a Kirsty, Carlie or Kay and I think I got the best name. It ages well and has a lovely meaning.

I am a Kirsty Marie but I know a Kirsty Lou who is 3 (not Louise, just Lou).

Heidi to me sounds a bit pigtails, milk buckets and clogs, but that is my opinion and you will know the minute you meet your baby (hopefully!) :) good luck! x

midori1999 · 15/05/2011 18:28

I am a Kirstie (was Kirsty but changed the spelling as a teen). I don't really like it and think it sounds harsh, so am suprised so many view it as a 'pretty' name.

I prefer Heidi by far.

HeidiKat · 15/05/2011 17:41

I might have a bias towards one of these names Grin.

(Not my name in real life BTW).

GoodDaysBadDays · 15/05/2011 08:01

With those names I still go with the two you have for middle names Grin

But definitely heidi rather than kirsty.

Jojay · 14/05/2011 20:43

I have a Jasper and an Ed(ward) already.

Trying to talk DH into Dominic for DS3 Grin

Alice and Elizabeth are beautiful.

I'm afraid I dislike both heidi and kirsty. But at a push I would prefer heidi.

Out of interest what boys names do you like? Might help as to which would go with the boys name!

Takver · 14/05/2011 19:58

Kirsty

FanjoForTheMusic · 14/05/2011 19:39

Another vote for Heidi!

saffy85 · 14/05/2011 07:50

I love Kirsty. Heidi is ok too. Don't know any Heidis but only ever met nice Kirstys. Smile Kirsty Elizabeth sounds slightly better than Kirsty Alice but sound good. Heidi Elizabeth works better than Heidi Alice imo.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 13/05/2011 15:31

How else would you pronounce Heidi except the German way? Confused

pickyourbrain · 13/05/2011 15:22

Seems Heidi is like Marmite then! Maybe Kirtsi without the 'y' ?

sonniebonnie · 13/05/2011 14:11

Neither, but I do like Kirsten/Kristen/Kristina. Really dislike Heidi - it has very old fashioned, almost comical associations in Germany.

seeker · 13/05/2011 13:02

Neither. Remeber you're naming an adult woman, not a baby.

Jojay · 13/05/2011 13:01

I'm in Warwickshire, so nowhere near sadly. Best of luck with it all!

BatFlattery · 12/05/2011 22:31

I love the name Heidi, not keen on Kirsty/Kirsten.

Maternelle · 12/05/2011 21:22

I love Heidi.
