Grin

Lovely name but yes

randomimposter · 07/05/2011 20:43

No.
It is lovely and I really don't think that association is still very widespread.

princessProudmel · 07/05/2011 20:44

No, I love it. DH won't allow it for DC3

serendipity16 · 07/05/2011 20:50

I love it & would have used it had my son been a girl.

Newbabynewmum · 07/05/2011 21:22

Love it. This is going to be my DD2's name in the future! X

I am one and it's very rare in my age group. I usually get the whole list when people first hear my name: "Oh, like Puddleduck / Jemima from Playschool/ Aunt Jemima / Jemima Khan" but then they drop it, it's never stuck as a nickname and I've found people rarely forget my name, which makes it worse that I am useless at remembering names.

The thing that does bug me is the number of people who read it or shorten it to Jemma. Grrr.

MercurySoccer · 07/05/2011 23:16

Not to my taste really (too obviously posh) but nothing wrong with it, and there are worse connotations a name could have!

JessinAvalon · 07/05/2011 23:26

My mum wanted to call me this but my Dad veteod it. So she called me it as a nickname anyway until fairly recently (34 now!).

Cute name!

MelinaM · 08/05/2011 01:41
