Im keen but husband not so sure. What connotations does it bring to mind? Our first is Rex. Maybe they will sound like a pack of dogs? (but then our dog is called Barbara....)

I immediately thought 'dog or vampire'. And with Rex (great name, btw) it really is a little bit thematic.

Could you use it as a nickname?

I like the idea of swapping baby and dog names around.

Get a few more dogs and call them Isabella, Jack, Ruby and Oliver.

The after wee Spike have another baby and (regardless of gender) call it Snuffles.

Oh dear, sorry but I did think it's a good name for a dog. And that was before I read your other child is called Rex. I'm sure some will love it though
